Wild Beasts playing songs off their new album "Present Tense" live at Café Central in Weinheim, Germany, August 19th 2014.
They were really great live, much better than I expected actually. I was told beforehand their set might be boring but even if I didn't like all of their songs equally, I wasn't bored for a single moment. Can't decide whether "Mecca" or "Wanderlust" is my favourite song of theirs. Both I can't get enough of and they've been stuck in my ear for ages! If you get the chance to see them somewhere, go, I don't think you'll regret it.
Photos taken on a Samsung NX3000; need another lense for low light settings like these unfortunately, though Wild Beasts almost played in complete darkness.

Soap And Glass beads.
First shown at Anadiel Gallery in East Jerusalem in 1996. Made from blocks of traditional olive oil soap from Nablus. The drawing depicts the map of the 1993 Oslo Peace Agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. The lines of red glass beads delineate the territories meant to be handed bacl to the Palestinian authority

I'm a firm believer that life can be measured on many different levels, but for me the mile marker post acquisitions of innumerable Boyracer records has always been a special punctuation in the audio department.
