Here is the opening slide of my next presentation in Berlin, Lean & Agile Europe 2011 in September.
I'm still working on it but I'm making good progress. I hope to see you all there!!

Visit of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General (Gen) Rick Hillier and Rear-Admiral (RAdm) McFadden onboard Her Majesty Canadian Ship (HMCS) Toronto. The ship is docked at 12 Wing Shearwater, NS. Both the CDS and the RAdm are giving out medals to the crew of HMCS Toronto. The ship was on deployment from July to December 2007 and represented NATO's inaugural circumnavigation around the horn of Africa whereby HMCS Toronto played a leading role in establishing relationships with the many regional navies. Following a volcanic eruption in the Red Sea off the coast of a small Yemeni island, HMCS Toronto's intense forty-eight hour search and rescue operation through the lava filled waters resulted in the recovery of one survivor and two bodies. In the mediterranean Sea, this ship effectively executed high-risk boarding operations with linkages to criminal and terrorist affiliated shipping networks. There's an award presentation. The event starts on the flight deck and proceeds into the different sections of the ship to the flight hanger and the main cave.

Following a multicultural commemoration of the Korean War Armistice, the members of the Korean War Veterans Association (KWVA) received a brief description of services available through the NJ State Library Talking Book and Braille Center by Mary Kearns-Kaplan, adult outreach services coordinator.
The ceremony honoring the 62nd Anniversary of the end of the war was held at New Jersey's Korean War Veterans Memorial on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. Speakers included Charles Koppelman, NJKWVA State Commander, Ray Zawacki, NJ deputy commissioner for veterans affairs, BG Michael Cunniff, the adjutant general of NJ, and Vincent Mazzeo, District 2 assemblyman, whose father and uncle served in Korea.
After the wreath ceremony at the Memorial Wall, attendees convened at the Yang-Ji Presbyterian Church for the TBBC presentation and a lunch of traditional Korean fare. The State Library's Mimi Lee, diversity & community engagement specialist, worked with the KWVA and the Korean community to coordinate the event.
