I finished the knitting and seaming of this sweater back in ... June. It just needed the zipper installed. I even bought zippers and did all of the prepwork... but couldn't force myself to sit down and handsew the zipper and facing ribbon in.

I packed it in my box of clothes for temp housing along with ribbon and matching thread and the zipper. I figured that given a limited set of projects, I may actually be forced to finish it. And I sure did.

It has no shaping, but I really just wanted it as a jacket, good for walking the dogs in the cold. So, it's not terribly flattering, but it is very comfortable and I like it.

I have paint! (and if you check the bottom-most bucket closely, you may be able to make out the PURPLE).

Obligatory artsy shot of painter on ladder outside my office window.

My sons dug trenches in the garden, laid in compost, and cleaned up the yard. They are such a big help! This pic featured on my blog Family Earthprint:

Along with some bags and swap goodness I am going to work on nightgowns today. I cut a bunch of pieces while catching up on The Daily Show and Colbert Report this week in the evenings.

Looking NW in the den. I used to work at a company that closed it's local faciltiy. In the warehouse was pallet rack with 3/4" BC ply cut down to 32" wide. I pulled them from the trash when the racking was liquidated and have been storing them for maybe 7 years. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to recycle this material. It took a while to map out all the seams but it turned out quite well. They were all cut down to approx. 30" in width. Stiles are 10" on center to hide the seams.

Our Daily Challenge ~ Prep Work ...

Stay Safe and Healthy Everyone!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!

This fossil of a fish is in moclay...and I could imagine that more of it perhaps is behind the upper layers......I´ve never done any prepwork so i am a bit nervous about it...I´m not doing it right away....need some ID I think......if possible......nned some preptools too.....but today i had a day off from work and had some time making a new photo of it in daylight.....with a grey sky though....

I´m thinking about the ID...that it probably NOT is the most common fish in the moclay...a relative to todays "argentoids"...which I have in some piece of moclay already here in my flickrstream: www.flickr.com/photos/artandart/4075388049/in/set-7215762...

but what kind of fish fossil it is...I´m not aware of....need to do some research...and then I´ll put it on here of course...but you are welcome to give a comment if you have any suggestion...also without knowing for sure...
