University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland. July 22nd, 2012.
I finished the knitting and seaming of this sweater back in ... June. It just needed the zipper installed. I even bought zippers and did all of the prepwork... but couldn't force myself to sit down and handsew the zipper and facing ribbon in.
I packed it in my box of clothes for temp housing along with ribbon and matching thread and the zipper. I figured that given a limited set of projects, I may actually be forced to finish it. And I sure did.
It has no shaping, but I really just wanted it as a jacket, good for walking the dogs in the cold. So, it's not terribly flattering, but it is very comfortable and I like it.

Thick light-rey card that's been sanded through in places with 80-grit sandpaper ready for a screen print during this week's Print Club (don't ask about Print Club, you know what the answer to any questions about it will be ;-)
It'll either work and look ace or will be an unmitigated disaster, in which case I'll delete this photo and we'll have to agree to never speak of this particular print run again! However, on the flip side, if it comes out as well as I plan then I'll have a run of between 10 and 20 unique prints that will be available soon...
In other news - I've just reviewed Street Renegades and have a copy to give away. Pop over to see the review and enter the comp if you fancy.
My sons dug trenches in the garden, laid in compost, and cleaned up the yard. They are such a big help! This pic featured on my blog Family Earthprint:
S-bop dug all the trenches, T-bop laid in all the compost. My big boys!
I have paint! (and if you check the bottom-most bucket closely, you may be able to make out the PURPLE).
Looking NW in the den. I used to work at a company that closed it's local faciltiy. In the warehouse was pallet rack with 3/4" BC ply cut down to 32" wide. I pulled them from the trash when the racking was liquidated and have been storing them for maybe 7 years. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to recycle this material. It took a while to map out all the seams but it turned out quite well. They were all cut down to approx. 30" in width. Stiles are 10" on center to hide the seams.

The growing season starts today, We need to prepare the garden. A pollinator garden is a garden that attracts pollinators by growing plants that produce nectar and pollen. These gardens help support pollinators, which are insects and animals that help produce food for humans. We are planting seed that is native to Oklahoma.
