Sill plates are part of the walls and contact the concrete. In the US you can get pretreated lumber, but here in Mexico you have to do it yourself. Untreated lumber rots when in contact with concrete.

Food: Dinner prep--Ingredients for a Thai stir fry just before I went at them with my Knife. We are so very fortunate to have access to fresh wholesome food. I love to cook, part of it out of gratitude. Cooking is for me a form of prayer.
In preparation of our Lincoln Foundation site visit next week, Sherman Health employees gathered today for a “Prep Rally!” At the event, employees enjoyed cake and Rick Floyd, President & CEO, and Linda Deering, Executive Vice President and COO, thanked staff for all their hard work and energized staff for the visit next week.
Sherman Hospital was chosen for a 5-day Lincoln Foundation Site visit next week. The Lincoln Foundation for Performance Excellence is the state of Illinois program modeled after the national Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award. Awards are given to organizations from a variety of industries that continuously improve their performance by encouraging, developing and highlighting excellence.
Inside, the custom wallpaper is all finished, and it's time to hang the interior sign. "Here, dear?" asks the husband. "No, now I'm thinking it should be on the left," the wife replies. "Oh, isn't this all turning out well, sweetie?" (I built this house from a wonderful kit by Pocohouze, and designed the wallpaper specially for the shop.)
