This was the first version I cut, which I then decided was too small. The fabric is a very heavy cotton or cotton-poly jersey that has some Lycra in it and a lot of body. It was $8 from P&S Fabrics on lower Broadway.

 

Mom gave me the gold-handled sewing shears for a birthday or Christmas; this was their debut.

 

The pattern came from sew-ing.com/make/gloves.html. This version was printed at around 95 percent; the final version was at 105 percent.
