Got my first macro lens tonight :) With the low light conditions and just freehand made it rather difficult to keep in focus.
Many good news: [A & Y] is added to our small family. I am also one of the official bloggers of one of the most important events in SL, the Fantasy Faire.

Marsaxlokk is a traditional fishing village in the South Eastern Region of Malta, with a population of 3,600.
The village’s name comes from marsa, which means "port" and xlokk, which is the local name for south east.
The word is related to the name for the dry sirocco wind that blows from the Sahara, comparable to the equivalent Catalan word, "xaloc".
The village is known for the Marsaxlokk Market, a large market which takes place around the whole village on Sundays and tourist market all days during the week.
The inhabitants of the village are called the Xlukkajri and are historically fishermen.

They were really only play fighting :)
Out for a walk late on my final evening on Inis Mór I was lucky enough to photograph these fighting goats. A bit earlier I’d seen one from the road, standing photogenically on a stone, but I hadn’t been fast enough to grab a shot. I was about to go on when I thought I’d go up to the field and have a closer look, at which point I discovered there were actually two of them. They started play fighting over a bit of root that they both clearly adored, and I got some great action shots.
For a photo story of the first two islands I visited:
What a surprise! 19.07.2015 just North of Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate).
I stayed all night long on a field in the middle of nowhere and monitored a weak rain cluster near Paris. And every time I looked on a weather radar I wanted to turn back and go home. But some weather models indicated good conditions in Germany, so it was possible that the cluster will become more intense here. After the cluster crossed the German border the activity strengthened and the system began to shear eastward - all good signs which validated the weather model calculations.
Shortly after 5 AM the south flank of the system arrived at my spot. Here is how it looked like shortly before sunrise - a very photogenic updraft and lightnings, which made the moment more special.

"The line_up is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The“liners” are made out of paper (Din A3),
oil paint and graphite, the theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers."

Before it comes to any train assignment and riding the rails you have to prepare the engines at the service tracks and sometimes struggle with their quirks and oddities. And mostly also at odd times, when most people would definitely enjoy a healthier lifestyle ...

It's over - the summer visitors collect on the telegraph wires in the dawn light, and prepare for their long journey to southern Africa. The barn swallows are a regular feature under the eaves of our house - and countless other nesting sites in the farms and houses around here. A marker of the change of the seasons, as regular as harvesting.
Happy Telegraph Tuesday 😊
