CLTFC Season Tix Holders head into the bowels of BoA Stadium to pick up their preordered 'Crown Jewel Kit' and shop 704 Shop/CLTFC Gear

I just finished drawing in 16 preordered copies of Sing Along Forever and this is my favorite of all the sketches, so I had to scan it and save it for myself in digital form. This is just an example of what one might get if they order a copy of SAF with a sketch inside, though I make no guarantees that it will be quite as good as this one.

Swami (2024)

Last week I had the pleasure of seeing Swami and the Bed of Nails for the first time. Made up of John Reis of every great band that has existed fame and other luminaries, they ripped through a set of songs from the last Swami John Reis album, new tunes from a forthcoming Swami and the Bed of Nails album, a Sultans song and a Night Marchers song for good measure, They also were selling a tour only 7", but that's not this one.

This 7" went for sale on the Swami Records website a few weeks ago. It sold out pretty quick and is the first official salvo from the Bed of Nails moniker. The A side, "Shock and Awe," is billed as being from the upcoming full length. It's a piano heavy rocker with an acoustic guitar foundation and a big, shout along chorus. It wouldn't have been out of place on the last Swami LP, but also feels like it takes the musicianship up a notch.

The B side, "I Don't Hate Everything," is said to be exclusive to this fine 7". It's more of straight up rocker and is built off a riff that has a lot in common with "Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones. For me, everything John touches tends to be gold. I like some of his bands more than others, if I'm raking them, but in general I like everything. Hell, I just preordered a Me First and the Gimme Gimmes record because hes on it and that's not something I was ever expecting to do. Point is, Swami and the Bed of Nails is just another in a fine line of bands that I can always get down with. They were great live, and I dig this 7" a lot too.

I'll post a bit about the tour only 7" on Friday.

Lord and Lady Grudnick celebrate the release of her first novel at Baltimore's Brewers Art after an evening with David Sedaris at the Meyerhoff. Lady Grudnick's first book maybe preordered here www.timhirst.com/viewitem.php?groupid=1&productid=53 . She is pretending to be someone named Cindy to avoid being interrupted by hoards of autograph seekers. Fame is such a burden.

I preordered this limited edition Jason Vorhees animaquette almost 2

years ago! The ship date kept getting pushed back. It's finally here!

Another favorite photo from the visit.

Shortly after the war, the palace came under the direct administration of the prime minister's office, which ultimately turned it into the State Guest House in 1974. Recently, a concession van was permitted to operate at the front of the palace to offer tea, scones and an array of afternoon tea cakes and sandwiches on a tiered cake server. The afternoon tea set has to be preordered. Despite the cool of the February air, it was still pleasant to have tea here. There is also a gift shop set up under a garden marquee.

Super psyched for this game - love both the Samorost games. Preordered day 1! Was stoked to see it part of the PAX 10 and actually playable on the floor!

Was even more excited to see a HUGE line always waiting to play. Hope it sells well!

Fax was my 'digital' medium back in the 1990's. I faxed everyone and anyone I could (or at least needed to). I even preordered games from a local video game store by faxing them my 'order'.

Ironically, in one of the faxes, my tutor (Tammy Daniells- who I sadly cannot find online today), mentions we should try "modem communication" one day instead of faxing.

Sometimes I truly am blown away with how far we've come in 15 years.

I preordered the new Blitzen Trapper album along with a live DVD of Mudhoney from a year or so ago. They threw all these stickers and stuff in!

09.25.2015: Sometimes with book series that I really like, I take notes on who the main characters are. That way I can keep track of all of them when there are 14+ books in a series. For the Wheel of Time series however, I've preordered the encyclopedia for that world and its multitude of characters.

Galaxy s5

This is my Villains Shelf. Again Mostly Marvel Legends but there is ET on a Skateboard, A Super Monkey Ball character and a Doom Baron of Hell that I got when I preordered Doom 3.

Merge (2025)

I will readily admit that I was very disappointed in Superchunk's last album, Wild Loneliness. It was slow and kind of boring, in my opinion. I've always preferred the faster, punkier Superchunk songs and that album didn't click with me. Luckily, there's no shortage of Superchunk albums out there that will give me that fix, but I can't say I was particularly excited or expecting a whole lot when they announced this year's new record, Songs in the Key of Yikes.

As long as they keep making Superchunk records, I'll keep buying them. So, as usual I preordered the new one without listening to anything. Once I put it on, I was pleasantly surprised. It's much better than Wild Loneliness. While I can't fathom they'll ever hit the highs they hit in the 90s for me (seeing them close their set opening for Rocket From The Crypt with "Slack Motherfucker," "Precision Auto" and "Hyper Enough" pretty much confirmed my opinion of that), this is a solid record, with upbeat and catchy songs. The mope is on the back burner and the hooks are at the forefront.

Thirteen albums (and forty-five 7" singles) into their career, I don't know exactly what I could possibly say about Superchunk that wouldn't be a rehash of anything else I've ever said. If you are reading anything that I write, the odds of you not having your own opinion of Superchunk already seems absurd. You know what they sound like. You know they're great most of the time. All I can really tell you is that this is one of their their records with upbeat songs than slower ones. It's on the more subdued side of their upbeat catalog, but it's a good record. I dig it and unlike a couple of their other albums, I will definitely listen to this one from time to time.

I have already finished the Twilight series. That makes me sad. The unofficail guide to the series sucks. In my opinion. I can't wait for the official guide to come out, I have already preordered it. :)

And a few DIY wedding books to get soem ideas from.

Yes, I *do* get to be the first to wear my designs. What of it? I don’t ask for much. Purple Hippo and High Life Rip-off shirts are here! If you preordered, it’s ready! If not, we have a very few on hand to sell you while they last. #perks #Muncie #MuncieIndiana #MuncieProud #shopMuncie #TeamPurpleHippo via Instagram bit.ly/2UINRQu
