I am five-months pregnant and I wanted for some time to make studio shots of me and my baby in the dark. Quite accidentaly I found out how das it work. I never visit any photography course or something like that. It was just luck that I found it out and accomplished the whole shooting by selftimer .

Cristina, 7 months pregnant ventured out to the beach at sunrise! After a little warm up I said "ok, take off your clothes" she was a little nervous of someone walking by and seeing a "naked pregnant chick" I told her there was nothing to worry about as it was 6:45am and most people don't get up that early and go to the beach. Only one person came by and I thought he was going to crash his ATV! Cristina did great! The pictures turned out beautiful. This was my first pregnant shoot and I think it was a success. I would have liked more time with both Cristina and the sunrise. but the sun wanted to keep rising and Cristina had other things to do.

Simple setup. 1 AB800 located camera right about 6 feet up through a med softbox. set on full power. Triggered by a cybersync.

I have been wanting to do a concept with a pregnant model for a long time where I can capture the phases of a lady in the process of becoming a mother but I couldn't find anyone who was ready to try it out mainly because photographing a pregnant lady and a new born is still a no no in many families here in India. Finally when I let Ms. C know about the idea and she was totally up for it.
First a shot like this not only needs planning but there are other factors involved which makes it really tough to execute. With all the travel I do and the physical condition of the model we were able to overcome the odds and shoot once every 3 months. We ended up shooting at the 3rd, 6th, 9th months and 20 days after giving birth. I should thank both the mother and the baby for cooperating and making this idea a reality.

This pregnant Roe deer will be giving birth (judging by her shape) to twins within the next two weeks. It would be lovely to get some photos of the Kids, if I stumble across them. She mated last August, but her eggs were not fertilised until January. Giving birth in summer ensures that the babies stand a better chance of survival.
I was delighted to photograph a deer looking relaxed in my presence, as all too often, I will unintentionally surprise them simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Photographing wild deer is not easy, which is why I'll be returning to this site several times over the next two weeks to get the best possible shots.
