A model of the Predator from the film series. The height is 33 cm excluding the lance; if the Predator is about 2 metres tall, that makes the scale about 1:6. The basis is a vinyl kit from Thailand. The lance is mainly scratchbuilt from steel rod. The dreadlocks are made from Sculpy Superflex. Paints are acrylics and Humbrol metallic steel.
1st day of painting for my Predator. I found the Scab red I usually use for an undercoat to be to bright when used over a large area so I mixed it with scorched brown. This had the additional benefit of being a thicker coat of paint. When I'd finished I felt it was to red and so decided to add the Charcoal in various places all over. I like where it's going... ^_^

Now that my old cat no longer patrols the grounds I have been plagued by ground squirrels. I was about to shovel dirt into this ground-squirrel hole when I noticed something inside waiting (I hope) for a squirrel to enter. So I left this hole open.

The (in)famous Predator UAV credited with many recon missions (see the "ball" of camera/sensors under the nose) and more than a few kills (see the Hellfire missile mockups hanging off the wings).
