A lizard with a cicade in his mouth.
Thanks for your visit, faves and comments, I appreciate that very much.
This tree snake was at the backyard, actually there were 2 snakes.
I don’t know the species or if this snake is venomous. I made a search in the web but find nothing.
The other side of having a lot of frogs in the yard is that it attracts the frogs natural predators like snakes ..
This is the second time that snakes enter the backyard .. the first time was a big shock because it was a cobra (Naja spp.) ..
Many of you know and have already seen i'm a massive Predator and aliens fan. I own 4 Predators, but none of them really had a Predator head. So, now being able to sculpt myself, I took a try on this creatures head myself!
I used a drybrush of brown and black to give it that... "sprinkled" effect the Yautja has. Tell me what you think!
Folllowed the flight of a hoverfly onto this ox-eye daisy, only to see a very optimistic and really tiny spiderling (just a few mm) emerge quickly from beneath a petal. The hoverfly departed quickly as I moved in, but the spiderling stayed just long enough topside for me to grab a shot. Probably a Thomisidae crab spider species, and potentially a Xysticus species?
Colas 70806 brings its train of new timber sleepers wards Wivelsfield Station and the end its booked working, from where it will pass the red signal (I watched it) and carry on into the occupation of the line down towards the tunnels between Hassocks and Preston Park north of Brighton for this weekend's work. A nice surprise to see a 70 as I'd not seen one down here before although i understand that they've worked a few trains for the last couple of weeks... it certainly blended well with the autumn colours in the evening light.

i thought it would be a perfect build session/excursion to get a few things off my
"have to build/at least try" list.
1. A mackerel (white/mako) shark in sand blue that looks better than this:

2.A friend who is diving in Thailand wanted me to build a mantaray
the last time he was visiting.
We were lazy that evening i guess...
3.A good mix of organic madness and the studs vs. tiled surface
pretty good presented in the past by "them":

4.A good presentation for the Predator and Prey topic
Do not focus to much on the builds around the two guys.
The focus lies on the fish ;)
Especially the colorcombo of sand and dark blue
is very eyecatching to me since they are both still rare.
5.The shark has some asynchronous
because of the way the body bends.
For me one of the hardest things to build was always
a good shaped organic lifeform, like an oceanic animal.
Well i´m done with that for now i guess.
This was an image taken while out walking back to camp at Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. Dusk was rapidly setting in. We saw this lioness keenly watching us warily walking past. Much against my better judgement, I lay prone on the ground to get this shot....
I have reworked this image and I'm hoping it is looking better than my original post in 2014.
A little noisier than I would of liked, but I'm reasonably happy how the shot finally turned out.

Well hidden in shallow water, this Pike was surprised to see me instead of the usual unsuspecting minnows.

A dragon fly rests on a plastic rod sticking out of the ground waiting for small flies and mosquitoes to cross it's path (re-released for download without watermarks).

This is a sandwich, a montague if you will, of a Leopard in the Serengeti and a full moon taken in Tarangire, both in Tanzania.

Skiantos- La Bestia
Predatore robusto, la notonetta attacca ogni sorta di insetti, così come girini e persino anfibi adulti, con il suo rostro, con cui poi succhia le sue prede; il suo rostro può infliggere all'uomo punture dolorosissime.
