In today's world family is more important than ever, when there seems to be so little civility and little ability to reach out, with love and friendship. Save the Family is my original and continuing theme. It is of utmost importance to bring up our children to learn to love all, without preconditions and parents most definitely can achieve this and through doing so make our world a better world. It is also important for one's children, grandchildren, and the greater family to know that we are there for one another. The family unit is of utmost importance and we must educate our children to that effect.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
There was no singing an dancing in the rain possible because of the not existing physical preconditions (no legs, no voice). Still this little vineyard snail (at least I think, that it is one) is cutting a quite good figure while it is coming out of my flowery border. If I can talk about a figure in connection with a snail. During my shooting I found out, that these are quite shy contemporaries. I needed some patiens until she/he did risk to come out of the shell.

This tree grows on the bank of the Danube near Wörth an der Donau. This morning, a cold breeze was blowing. No good precondition for a long time exposure, because the branches moved a lot. Anyhow, this is the result! For me, it is a poor man's surrogate for the famous Wanaka tree..
Please people, be reasonable, take this shit serious!
Even if you are young, strong and healthy, think about the weak, the elderly, the people with preconditions!

Sun will rise and set - presence of Life on earth is not a precondition!
In my posts I have referred the liquid of Deadsea as " fluid" ; never called it "water". We , the earthlings can never disassociate life and water ! A liquid which doesn't support life , not even micro organism , I refuse to call it Water !
Enjoy the surreal scene of setting sun over a lake of no life !

I already mentioned yesterday that Cleo had a vet visit on Monday (together with her brother Fynn). Cleo has arthrosis in her hip joints and knees and it's rather bad at the moment. The vet did an X-ray to verify the extent of the arthrosis and they also did a blood test. The blood test results came back okay (unlike Fynn's) and that allows us to give her pain killers now for a while. Another reason for the blood test was to make sure that everything is okay with her pancreas as this is an essential precondition for a new diet food she will receive for the next months. Cleo desperately needs to lose weight but has been pretty resistent to all diets we have tried so far. Wish us luck with the new diet, we really need it.
The vet visit was a rather unpleasant experience for Cleo and two days later she is still under the weather. She even went outdoors today to nap on the roof of her cat house on the terrace although it was very cold and rainy. Quite unusual for Cleo ....

“In theo-drama it is God’s stage; the decisive content of the actions is what he does: God and man will never appear as equal partners. It is God who acts, on man, for man and then together with man; the involvement of man in the divine action is part of God’s action, not a precondition of it.” -Balthasar, Theo-Drama, vol. 1, Prolegomena, trans. Graham Harrison (San Francisco: Ignatius, 1983), 18.

"I suggest that the most significant basis for meeting of men of different religious traditions is the level of fear and trembling, of humility and contrition, where our individual moments of faith are mere waves in the endless ocean of mankind's reaching out for God, where all formulations and articulations appear pear as understatements, where our souls are swept away by the awareness of the urgency of answering God's commandment, while stripped of pretension and conceit we sense the tragic insufficiency of human faith." This "tragic insufficiency sufficiency of human faith," according to Heschel, coupled with an acute yearning for God's presence, could foster the spiritual companionship of "humility mility and contrition," open-mindedness, as a precondition of true interfaith dialogue.'

"The supreme issue today is not the halakhah for the Jew or the Church for the Christian-but the premise underlying derlying both religions, namely, whether there is a pathos, a divine reality concerned with the destiny of man which mysteriously impinges upon history."

Just for the record, that one is a serendipitous result of some of the rarest situations when quite a few preconditions could have been met, including Martina the most restless of models, appropriate lighting, camera and lens settings adjusted to my best ability in but a split second, noone entering the room the exact moment all of the above had been achieved, etc. you name it ... so that I was finally able to catch it . :)

The lion's mane is the most recognizable feature of the species. It starts growing when lions are about a year old. Mane color varies and darkens with age; research shows its color and size are influenced by environmental factors such as average ambient temperature.
Mane length apparently signals fighting success in male–male relationships; darker-maned individuals may have longer reproductive lives and higher offspring survival, although they suffer in the hottest months of the year. The presence, absence, color and size of the mane are associated with genetic precondition, sexual maturity, climate and testosterone production; the rule of thumb is that a darker, fuller mane indicates a healthier animal.
In Serengeti National Park, female lions favor males with dense, dark manes as mates. The main purpose of the mane is thought be the protection of the neck and throat in territorial fights with rivals.
... and what do you see? Most people only see the literal interpretation of whatever is in front of them. Very few take the time to really look, to really see things, people, ideas, or events from all angles. It's not their fault. We are wired that way. We come preconditioned to relate everything to our own mental models of what we consider to be real, right, or moral. It takes effort - an act of will - to see beyond the superficial or literal. Even then, most will stop with what lies just beyond. But, you have to dig further. There are layers on layers of details... countless ways of seeing things from various angles and points of view (both literally and figuratively).
So, I challenge you. Look closely. What do you see?

The 1940 Hepworth's London studio was bombed. Although she spent a good deal more time in Cornwell, it was not a good period for work. War is not an ideal precondition for commissions. But out of the horror came this colourful work, with echos of the scallop shell and Cornwell's deep blue waters.
In an essay on sculpture in 1937 Hepworth had written:
"Full sculptural expression is spatial - it is the three dimensional realization of an idea, either by mass or by space construction. The materials for sculpture are unlimited in their vaiety of quality, tenseness and aliveness. But for the imaginative idea to be fully and freely projected into stone, wood or any plastic substance, a complete sensibility to the material - an understanding of its inherent quality and character - is required. There must be a perfect unity between the idea, the substance and the dimension: this unity gives the scale. The idea - the imaginative concept - actually is the giving of life and vitality to material."

“Building the psychic vessel of containment, which is another way of speaking of soul-making, seems to require bleeding and leaking as its precondition. Why else go through that work unless we are driven by the despair of our unstoppered condition? The shift from anima-mess to anima-vessel shows in various ways: as a shift from weakness and suffering to humility and sensitivity; from bitterness and complaint to a taste for salt and blood; from focus upon the emotional pain of a wound – its causes, parameters, cures – to its imaginal depths; from displacement of the womb onto women and ‘femininity’ to its locus in one’s own bodily rhythm.” J.Hillmaan
"For art to exist, for any sort of aesthetic activity or perception to exist, a certain physiological precondition is indispensable: intoxication."
— Friedrich Nietzsche
"Love is at once an affirmation and a transcendence of who we are.
Beginnings are always ripe with possibilities, for they hold the promise of completion. Through love we imagine a new way of being.
If love is an act of imagination, then intimacy is an act of fruition. It waits for the high to subside so it can patiently insert itself into the relationship. The seeds of intimacy are time and repetition. We choose each other again and again, and so create a community of two.
There is a complex relationship between love and desire, and it is not a cause-and-effect, linear arrangement. A couple’s emotional life together and their physical life together each have their ebbs and flows, their ups and downs, but these don’t always correspond. They intersect, they influence each other, but they’re also distinct.
It is too easily assumed that problems with sex are the result of a lack of closeness. But … perhaps the way we construct closeness reduces the sense of freedom and autonomy needed for sexual pleasure. When intimacy collapses into fusion, it is not a lack of closeness but too much closeness that impedes desire.
Love rests on two pillars: surrender and autonomy. Our need for togetherness exists alongside our need for separateness. One does not exist without the other. With too much distance, there can be no connection. But too much merging eradicates the separateness of two distinct individuals. Then there is nothing more to transcend, no bridge to walk on, no one to visit on the other side, no other internal world to enter. When people become fused — when two become one — connection can no longer happen. There is no one to connect with. Thus separateness is a precondition for connection: this is the essential paradox of intimacy and sex.
The intense physical and emotional fusion [new lovers] experience is possible only with someone we don’t yet know. At this early stage merging and surrendering are relatively safe, because the boundaries between the two people are still externally defined. [The lovers] are new to each other. And while they are migrating into each other’s respective worlds, they have not yet taken full residence; they are still two distinct entities. It is all the space between them that allows them to imagine no space at all…
In the beginning you can focus on the connection because the psychological distance is already there; it’s a part of the structure. Otherness is a fact. You don’t need to cultivate separateness in the early stages of falling in love; you still are separate. You aim to overcome that separateness."
Because, myth or manipulation, we all want to fall in love.
That experience makes us feel completely alive.
Our everyday reality is shattered, and we are flung into the heavens.
lt may only last a moment, an hour, but that doesn't diminish its value.
We're left with memories we treasure for the rest of our lives.
l read, ''When we fall in love, we hear Puccini in our heads.''
l love that. His music expresses our need for passion and romantic love.
We listen to La Bóheme or Turandot, or read Wuthering Heights, -
- or watch Casablanca, and a little of that love lives in us too.
So the final question is: Why do people want to fall in love -
- when it can have such a short run and be so painful?
- Propagation of the species? - We need to connect with somebody.
- Are we culturally preconditioned? - Good, but too intellectual for me.
l think it's because, as some of you may already know ...
While it does last, it feels fucking great. - The Mirror Has Two Faces, Barbra Streisand

The habitat of the lynx is one of wide-spreading forest land offering it sufficient cover and enough prey. Lynxes are solitary hunters with a very wide radius of action of up to a hundred square kilometres. They only move to conquer fresh terrain if these are directly connected to their existing ones – in this they differ from wolves who can settle in completely new areas. Unbroken stretches of country and plentiful food are preconditions for the survival of lynxes.

www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/God-determined-mans-fate-...
Introduction
As far as fate is concerned, everyone is independent.
As far as fate is concerned, everyone has his or her own fate.
So no one’s parents can stave off one’s fate in life
or exert the slightest influence on the role one plays.
Chorus
Nothing except the predestination of the Creator
has a bearing on a person’s fate.
No one can control what kind of future one will have,
predetermined long before, not even parents have a say.
Verse 2
The family into which one is born
is a precondition for fulfilling one’s mission.
The environment in which one grows up
is a precondition just as well.
They do not in any way
determine a person’s fate or the kind of destiny
amidst which their mission is fulfilled.
Verse 3
And so no one’s parents can
assist in fulfilling one’s mission.
And no one’s relatives can help one assume one’s role.
How one accomplishes one’s mission
and in what environment one plays their role
are determined by their fate, which no one can control.
Chorus
Nothing except the predestination of the Creator
has a bearing on a person’s fate.
No one can control what kind of future one will have,
predetermined long before, not even parents have a say.
Verse 4
No other objective conditions can influence
one’s mission which is predestined by the Creator alone.
All people become mature in unique environments,
the way that they grow up, all on their own.
Chorus
Nothing except the predestination of the Creator
has a bearing on a person’s fate.
No one can control what kind of future one will have,
predetermined long before, not even parents have a say.
Bridge
Step by step, they set off down their own roads.
Step by step, they fulfill destinies planned for them.
Step by step, they enter the vast sea of people.
Step by step, they assume their own posts in life.
Step by step, they fulfill their responsibilities,
all for the sake of the Creator’s predestination.
Step by step, they do it all involuntarily,
all for the sake of the Creator’s sovereignty.
God long ago determined man’s fate.
Chorus
Nothing except the predestination of the Creator
has a bearing on a person’s fate.
No one can control what kind of future one will have,
predetermined long before, not even parents have a say.

The garden is a site of conflict, of negotiation and strategies. To create and cultivate this incarnation of paradise, the destruction of the preconditions is inescapable. Furthermore, to achieve peace in the garden, growth, pests, vermin and unwanted visitors have to be fought off. Compared to the view on nature as natural and original, the garden is an unorderly condition, an illness.
The transformation of a tool into a weapon, as with the barbed wire, becomes here representative to the landscape itself as being the arena for strategies of power, of means to define and defeat. The trench, as developed during the American Civil War, outlines a definition of the unreachable, the “no mans land“. Its immanent possibility to move and create new borders and geographies reminds us of that ever-escaping ideal. Stepping down into the trench creates new perspectives. As an observatory of the realities of the garden, it forces us to further consider representations and the construction of our surroundings. Put in a context of naturalized gardening ideals, this installation might be perceived as violent, but as such, the questions of how we cultivate are brought to the table.

happy big cushy chair tuesday!
not a lot of time today so this background has been used to death..but i did make it! :) so somehow that makes it ok :D
We had a good amount of rainfall this winter, so the wildflowers on Picacho Park are very beautiful ❣️
The weather on Sunday morning was perfect for walking and viewing the beauty of the flowers and the spectacular peak.
Here is Arizona's description of the weather at the park:
azstateparks.com/picacho/explore/weather
Annual Weather
Picacho Peak State Park is centrally located in the Sonoran Desert between Tucson and Phoenix, and the local climate is characterized by some of the hottest summer temperatures in the country. “But it’s a dry heat!”—low humidity readings make the heat more tolerable than comparable temperatures would be in more humid climates.
The high season at the park is from late fall into spring, when the park offers a place to experience the mild temperatures and endless (My Note: the word 'endless' should be deleted or ignored) hours of sunshine that make Southern Arizona one of the most desirable locations during the winter months. Daily high temperatures are often still in the upper 60s in January (the coldest month), making it very pleasant for a variety of outdoor activities. Only occasionally do the overnight lows drop below 30 degrees in December and January.
Two rainy seasons provide the scarce precipitation that life in the Sonoran Desert depends on for survival. Soft winter rains that can last a few hours generally occur between October and March. Above-average winter precipitation is a precondition for a noteworthy wildflower season in the following spring. The much more violent thunderstorms that characterize the so-called summer “monsoon season” can drench the park with heavy downpours from July until September. These usually short-lived afternoon showers are usually the result of clouds building through the day.
Picacho Peak can be an exciting place to visit year-round if you come prepared for the varying weather conditions that are so typical for the deserts of the world. Below is a listing of average daily temperatures and monthly precipitation:

I'm back from my excursion to the Frozen North East! The big snow storm predicted didn't turn out so big after all and both travel days were completely snow free with good road conditions. It was a 9 hour trip one way but what is that to one who is preconditioned to lengthy 12 hour days out riding with Anita?? This photo was taken at the Mausoleum where my sister in-law was laid to rest.. I thought the snow looked like super long hair so risked life and limb to walk a bit down the driveway to catch this shot.
