Galbiati Group has developed an excellent business partnership with the end customer, offering a high level of experience in the mechanical precision machining of components of these plants, such as ribs i.e. plates (for example 3450 mm x 3000 mm with thickness of 100 mm), pistons and cylinders (for example 2800 mm x 5961 mm with thickness of 60 mm).
Given the high demand for machining of ribs, pistons and cylinders, Galbiati in order to build customer loyalty, had to think in terms of optimization of the production cycle, through a careful and rational planning of the machining cycle (milling, chip removal , thermal or surface treatments, painting, dimensional checks, etc.) that has allowed to increase its productivity and competitiveness.
Galbiati Group has been collaborating for years with international and Italian customers for the complete supply of housings for medium and large size gearboxes with a high power transmission, and for performing of mechanical machining (boring and milling) for third parties.
We have recently created a twin drive gearbox housing for hot rolling mill (UPN-IPE-HE profiles), with a total weight of 30 tons.
