A little composition I call “Still Life with Martinis and Peace Candle”

Practice plate for interlocking scrolls. I've included some progression photos. I begin by drawing the designs, transferring them and then cutting the outline. from there comes background removal and shading. Finished plate is 2 x 4 inches.

Before you build your first deck, it helps to make a small practice one to iron out the mistakes.

On New Year's Eve we went down to the family hunting cabin to do some target practice with friends. Mr Chiots wants to do this every month so he's ready for deer season this year. He's hoping to have 3 deer in the freezer after 2010 hunting season.

I accidentally forgot to also bring my other lens this Friday when we ventured out in the on and off again rain to Lime Rock to see the cars practice and qualify. Luckily the rain held off the whole time we were there, so I'm happy enough with the shots all things considered! Hearing the C6R's may have made my entire year.

While I didn't get to go to race day, the day was well worth the wait!
