If I could draw better, I think I could be a decent watercolorist--I find myself so busy trying to "fix" poor drawings with paint, and it makes me lose that freshness. I'll get there...

To get good at something, we need to practice. I was once told by my tennis coach that practice makes permanents, not perfect. We are far from perfect in the things we do as improvements can always be made. That piece of advice, 14 years ago, is something that stuck with me to this day. Which brings me to today's picture. The picture taken is what I'm guessing is a kendo practice dummy. If it's not, then well, you still got a good piece of advice.

This was a practice shoot we did to get prepared for the SuperPet Expo. We used both my dogs, JoJo and Haley, Jack Russell Terriers and my friend Janet's dog, the 4 Border Collies, for models. With Janet's help we set up some great shots and had a lot of fun.

Old men practice their calligraphy with buckets of water and large brushes. Any mistakes will simply evaporate. So, of course, will the beauty.

I figure Kaku maybe practiced a little bit with the giraffe form before entering the fight - he probably mucked it up a little at first.

I signed Fenris up in the dog show and didn't feel like showing him myself so i asked my sister to do it. Here they were practicing for the show.

Fenris won his class.

but didnt make it to the finals. i hope he will do better next. but i fear next time will be more rivals. so i think he will not make it really high.. hes kind of small compared to Siberian Huskies in iceland. The judges often like em bigger.
