Plum models my pet-store sourced design.

Just like the designers on the show, my design changed direction several times!

Top:

I wove strands from the rope chew toy into a drapey top. I ended up using mostly blue strands from the rope with a few threads of green and brown. When I started I knew I wanted to have woven panels at the front and back, but I had to figure out how everything else worked as I went along!

Skirt:

Around the time Tim would have been coming around to check on me, I realized I had a top and no bottom. I had thought I would do long pants, or a long skirt, but the furrow in Tim's brow scared me so much I went for a shorter skirt made out of some crinkly paper from my cat's toy.

Accessories:

As soon as I saw the straw cat toy I knew I wanted to make a hat! So I added some braided trim from the rope chew toy and decorated it with some snips of aquarium grass and a feather from the furry-feathery wand I gave over to my cat. I used a gold-headed straight pin as a hatpin.

I really wanted to use more of the straw as an architectural-looking belt, what it was just too brittle to get around her waist. Instead, I snipped some tiny pieces of the straw and threaded them on some rope strands for a couple of bracelets. Shoes are from the PiperliME wall again (ME because I made them).

I hope the judges don't think the hat is too crazy! I will tell them that this girl is going to a summer event like a fancy garden party, the Derby, or Epsom. She's eco-conscious and prefers funky elegance to flashy colors and bling. She's probably friends with Kate Middleton and Sir Paul McCartney!
