Stop what you are doing. Back up. Don't have a back up solution? Find one. I cannot stress the value in backing up your digital life. Your photos, your projects, your digital keepsakes that have countless hours of crafting or creating involved should be safe at all times. I finally got a larger external drive that is now acting as my main backup solution. I'm running well over 350GB of photos now and it's only going to keep growing this year (and beyond). Mix in the thousands of photos, the months of music, and probably 100 side projects from over the years, and I know I have a disaster waiting in the wings if I don't have my backups in proper order.
Back up. Someday, you'll thank all of those computer geeks that always nag you about it.
(just got a 1.5TB Western Digital in a external enclosure from Macally that looks like my MacPro! Yes, I bought it for that reason.)
The boys left the xbox on and I noticed the power button was a pretty silver.
Day twenty-three. Silver
Here's the way you turn on our new hybrid electric car, a Toyota Prius. It's so strange not to put a key into an ignition to turn on your car!!
Ok, so this is cheating for my OAD. I didn't take THIS picture on 12/09. But I did take one that was pretty much exactly the same and my card got wiped and it was gone before I could get it on my computer to upload.
The pic from 12/08 is gone too, but I can't "replace" it. It was of the sunset that day behind Camelback mountain. A major shame that it was lost, and frustrating that I actually TOOK the pic for my OAD and have nothing to show for it. Oh well. At least I can pretend like this one was recovered!
Part of my one-a-day collection.
Continuing my still life theme this week, this is the power switch to my Macbook Pro. I’ve got my Xmas lights up still and it created a nice effect on the aluminium coating on my Mac. Its a bit noisy because I didn’t use a tripod so I just set it to ISO1600.
Blurry, and you can almost see the texture of the dashboard.
Part of my test of three cameras. Macro photography test.
My entry for today's Daily Shoot:
We typically use light to illuminate a subject. Turn it around today and make a photo of a light source of any kind.
I love simplicity. When Johnny Angell asked me to design his computer repair logo, I found that this design concept was ripe for the picking.
"An item you use every single day, and would be lost without."
Ok, so I spotted this as Fiona's answer, but it's true for me too. I asked Ben what my answer would be and he said the computer too.
I have lots of fun on Flickr. I'm able to share photos of Rose with my parents back in England. We also webcam and phone each other through yahoo messenger. :)
Week 5 Day 1 of the February Challenge -- BLUE
This one kind of signifies my commitment to the February Challenge project. This was my last photo -- I didn't even finish off the last week. Not sure what happened, I just got burned out.
Failure. Blurry, and the texture of the dashboard looks more like stripes than ridged plastic.
Part of my test of three cameras. Macro photography test.
I actually could've sworn I took this picture already for my project. I guess this far down the line I just can't remember what pictures I tried to take, thought about taking, took, or haven't taken. Luckily I'm on my last leg!

Off we go! Taken for the weekly challenge. About to shove some energy into the hamster to get them processing wheels turning...
Somewhere in there I need to find room for the DVD's.
I think I am going to see about relocating the powerbutton.
My friend Hambox have given me a challenge: To play with my camera and do things I normally don't. We're going under the motto "Happy imperfection" here :-)
Trying out: Long shutter speed (I can't do that manually, so I set the camera on "Firework settings") and moving the camera from one motive to the other. In this place an orchid and the light on the power button on my television.
