The "Every Day Carry" is now my Canon ELPH 190 IS, it has a 10X zoom, easy to flip color to B/W, fits in the pocket, lays on the console, drop in the bag with the Nikon B700 and they follow me everywhere I go. I may not have a cellphone on me, nor money, nor ID but I will have a camera on me ready to go within 3 seconds.

On this photograph I saw a Emergency and a look a like phone.. And with this photograph i'd just want to say:

I'm not as happy about this one. There were words right below the power button that I wanted to not be visible and the background is distracting, not complimenting.
If I placed this remote on the arm of a chair or couch instead of a TV tray it might have told more.

This was shot at an aperture of f51 With anSB800 a few inches away triggered by pocket wizards.
More play with the extension tubes I got for Christmas. This is the middle of the illuminated on-off switch on the Dell Inspiron laptop that our youngest daughter got for Christmas. This illuminated circular design is about 4mm acorss in real life.

Now that we 'sussed' what the issue is...it's time for it to go back together.
After all that, not only did the power switch not work(from the fall) , but neither did the command or sub command dials work. (Damaged from dealing with the LCD reassembly)
With ebay already opened and a new top cover in sight...This is when I just ordered a new one.
HA! DO NOT try and take apart the LCD assembly. I ASSURE you it is HELL to try and get back together. If not impossible. I had to unsolder the ribbon contacts for the shutter release just to be able to flip everything over and assemble it from the top down and resolder.
This is what eventually led to googling for a new 'D200 Top Cover'
2 more on the CF card side. If there's a CF card in the camera at this time...take it out. The eject button kindof gets in the way from taking this cover off...altho it's still possible.
There's also another screw at the very bottom that's highlighted yellow. This one has to be undone, but can stay in. It just gets snugged up to assist the bottom plate.

I just went browsing for some cool new wallpapers and found that black/white abstract pictures go really well with this theme so I figured I'd upload my desktop's 1.1 version of this theme (should probably figure out how to make a working installer file :P)

4 screws in the back. The sneaky one is just under the diopter adjust. Took me a good half hour to work that one out.
Now for the unknown. The top was the section that I needed to get into. I started from just under the 'd200' and worked my way around to the other side.
Here is the USB Port side. STAY AWAY from the wires coloured yellow.
IMPORTANT TIP#2:
STAY AWAY FROM THE WIRES COLOURED YELLOW..and read on.
Those are the contacts for the capacitor that connects to the flash. I discharged my capicitor with my finger. Very similar to touching an electric fence. NOT RECOMENDED. Word on the street is these things can KILL you. Kindof a rush tho...
Saying that, There is a small screw that holds on that circuit board that will have to be undone to take the top fully off. I'd probably do some googling to find the best way to discharge a capacitor...Tips?
...Follow up. The second time I took this apart I knew the capacitor was charged and took someones lame advice to 'just ground out the 2 capacitor contacts'
So with my face about 20cm's from the board, using my 2 voltmeter prods, I grounded out the 2 contacts, fallowed by a very BRIGHT flash and a "BANG!"
Scared shitless I figured I did something wrong. It all works tho....BUT.....
HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED.
Tips?
How to get in. This will involve peeling off ALL of the nice rubber grippy bits. (Which I still have to glue back on. Spray adheasive?) I lied, the thumb grip can stay on. There's just one screw under it.
Under the bottom grip there is 8 screws. Disregard the ones for the tripod screw.
