112/365: "One of these days I'll catch up to my predictions. One of these days I'll be more than just man. One of these days I'll be stronger than addictions...
I will protect you from, all around you
My arms will hold you, keep you safe and warm
This bond between us, can't be broken
No matter what they say
You'll be here in my heart, always...

It was for my art project, but from my standpoint now .. it should become a series with more pictures to the subject "Technoaddiction", this is me by the way
This is the last photo I edited using the Picnik tool in Flickr. Just after I did this Picnik was gone and replaced by aviary. Aviary can't do this.
This is an extraordinarily small daffodil. Not sure where it came from, because it is not near any of the other one. This is an HDR rendering of three exposures produced with Lightroom.
Details from a stack of books (once again it is dark when I get home from work and inspiration is not really in the house…!).
He wanted to have freckles like his wife, so I digitally put them in for this shot. Good thing he didn't ask to be made a redhead too! That would look to weird with his complexion
An old favorite that now got the postprocessing it deserves
I did little or no post processing when I originally uploaded the photo. So it was too dark and did not have enough contrast.
With some user defined presets it just needs a few seconds in Lightroom to fix such flaws.
For this photo I just used Picnic to tweak it a bit because I did not want to hunt down the original image from my old computer or backup harddisks.

I pulled this old photo out of my pile of folders to share another post-process technique I have used to make up for bad backgrounds.
This time I took a previous session's test photo of a blanket and placed it behind the layer of the new photo. I erased the old background to reveal the blanket and used a colorize action to turn the blanket to a blue that matched the blue of the new photo. To help transition between the two layers, I used a blur paintbrush and ran it across the edges of the white blanket where it met the new background. I found this to be much much faster than cloning a new background (see the previous upload in my photostream) although with this technique you have to be careful that the background doesn't look fake and too different from the foreground. (I'm still debating whether this example works or not but I mainly uploaded it for the technique itself, not my first attempt at executing the technique. If you take a photo of your backdrop before the current session, then you have a much better chance of it looking natural when you use this technique.)
this one's for the Arsenal Football Club, a football team that has set new standards of how to play beautiful!!
the playmaker, the wonderboy, fabregas is having the time of his life, hleb has added that extra bit to his brilliant dribbling ability - finishing, flamini does the defensive mid role to perfection!!! the captain GALLAS, has had his best season till date.....i believe, he is the most important part of the team rite now, coz he is the one responsible for a solid defense, something that arsenal aren't the best at!!!!
so here's hoping for a wonderful season and a couple of trophies( thats the least they deserve).... i mean, that'll be the best thing for football!!!

Now, before you yell at me for over-post processing:
My printer ran out of cyan ink. I printed this picture, and it came out like this. I thought it looked wicked cool. So, I threw the image into PS, changed the color mode to CYMK, and played around for an hour or two. This was the result.
PP: done before: white balance, upped contrast, upped saturation, upped "clarity" (local contrast), tweaked curves. CYMK. heavy curves adjustments: no cyan, lower magenta, overall higher contrast. Manual masking of the curves to allow some cyan to show in shadow areas. Grain.
These were difficult photos to get. I was using a 600mm lens and holding it steady on the flying raptor was nearly impossible. In addition the sun was setting behind the bird, so all I got, initially was silhouette. HDR and exposure adjustments with Adobe Lightroom helped.
