When I was taking the photograph the other day of the spider and its web in the wheelbarrow, my first shot was out of focus and all I got was a fuzzy shot of the inside of the wheelbarrow. I tried some Post Processing playing and got this cool map looking abstract, or whatever it is! Just liked it and wanted to share! 😍
I wish I could say I took this with my X-T1 which has a 1/32,000sec. electronic shutter, but this is just a simple, old-fashioned Photoshop composite...hehe! The truth is I've got several good (very sharp) images of the Egyptian goose taken with the 7D + EF 300mm L IS + EF 1.4 TC II that I didn't want to go to waste, so...

"Calgary" is just bout to roll off taxiway to RWY 21R for departure at Don Mueang Int'l Airport, BKK.
Toned and filtered but the full shot as taken above my head. No cropping or distortion... happen to like triangles and I saw plenty of them here... it became the base for my contribution for Sliders Sunday.
While NSW north of us is suffering drought and devastating forest fires. Here in Melbourne, we seem to be returning to arctic weather.
Ok I have cheated a little and used On1's new weather filter
The surgery room at Beelitz. The graffiti are only a few weeks old. What a shame, I would have loved to see it "clean".

Cortaderia selloana, commonly known as pampas-grass,
is a flowering plant native to southern South America, including the pampas after which it is named.
hier: Pampasgras aka Cortaderia Selloana
... after the German botanist and naturalist Friedrich Sellow.
...
The feathery flower head plumes, when dried, are widely used in flower arrangements and other ornamental displays.

We call these things Chair-O-Planes in Ireland but I am not sure what they are called in the US. Wikipedia says they are also called swing carousels or wave swingers but I have never heard these terms.

Born with a silver spoon in her mouth:
Born into wealth
For this week's Whispery White Wednesday's theme: Shabby Chic, some of my grandmother's linen and a silver spoon that she gave to my daughter, Toby, when Toby was born.
Grandma joked: So Toby can say she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
This is another idiomatic saying that I couldn't understand when I was a child: How could anyone be born with a spoon - of any kind - in their mouth?
Thanks to les brumes for his beautiful texture.
This photo was cool, but the sky was blown out white. I tried my hand at replacing the sky. Which I had never done before. I don't think it's too horrible. Yes it looks totally photoshopped but oh well. I think it's cool.
As Professor Bop has has noted, a town in CT, near New Haven was named after this photo..........................

Tonight, after work, I went to the opening of Nick Cave: The Exhibition at the Museum in Perth. So I was inspired to choose a song by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds to accompany this image for Sad Bokeh Friday and Shades of Yellow Friday.
Sorrow's child sits by the river
Sorrow's child hears not the water
Sorrow's child sits by the river
Sorrow's child hears not the water
And just when it seems as though
You've got strength enough to stand
Sorrow's child all weak and strange
Stands waiting at your hand
Sorrow's child steps in the water
Sorrow's child you follow after
Sorrow's child wades in deeper
Sorrow's child invites you under
And just when you thought as though
All your tears were wept and done
Sorrow's child grieves not what has passed
But all the past still yet to come
Sorrow's child sits by the water
Sorrow's child your arms enfold her
Sorrow's child you're loathe to befriend her
Sorrow's child but in sorrow surrender
And just when is seems as though
All your tears were at an end
Sorrow's child lifts up her hand
And she brings it down again

Marsa Alam (Arabic: مرسى علم) is a town in south-eastern Egypt, on the west coast of the Red Sea. It is currently seeing increasing popularity as a tourist destination and development including the opening of Marsa Alam Airport in 2001.
Marsa Alam is situated near the Tropic of Cancer where the Arabian Desert meets the Red Sea, and it has the appearance of a tropical paradise with its palm trees, mangroves and sea coasts fringed with barrier coral reefs. It has already gained a strong reputation amongst scuba divers due to its numerous and unspoilt diving sites both along the coast and offshore. Sightings of spinner dolphins, dugongs and hammerhead sharks are a frequent occurrence for those who venture into its waters.

OK - So this started out as a simple "Down to Earth" go out in the back yard and take a picture of the horse fence. Now, I know it's not Sunday but somtimes I just don't know what happens and then I find a smile and that's that. I've debated for the last four hours to post or file and move on. I decided to post for Fence Friday - Hope everyone has a great weekend/Holiday!
Happy Fence Friday!!
