भोपाल.यदि आप मध्य प्रदेश को बाघों की सैरगाह मानते हैं तो एक बार फिर से सोच लें। क्योंकि, अब मध्य प्रदेश वाकई बाघों के सुरक्षित नहीं रह गया है। बांधवगढ़ टाइगर रिजर्व में एक बाघ की मौत ने एक बार फिर से पार्क प्रशासन के साथ सरकार की नियत पर भी सवाल खड़ा कर दिए हैं।
दुनिया के सबसे प्रसिद्ध बाघों में शुमार बी2 अब इस दुनिया में नहीं रहा। रविवार को पार्क प्रबंधन के कर्मचारियों द्वारा शिफ्टिंग के दौरान बी2 बाघ की मौत हो गई। यह वही बाघ था, जिसने न सिर्फ बांधवगढ़ को बल्कि मध्य प्रदेश को भी इंटरनेशनल लेवल पर ख्याति दिलाई। इस बाघ को लेकर कई फिल्में बन चुकी हैं, जिसे डिस्कवरी और नेशनल जियोग्राफी जैसे चैनलों पर लगातार दिखाया जाता है।
14 साल 7 महीने का बी2 का मुख्य क्षेत्र बाधंवगढ़ किले के नीचे वाला क्षेत्र था लेकिन कई बार वहां नए बाघ आ जाने के कारण वह लगातार अपना क्षेत्र बदलता रहा। उसके माता-पिता भी इंटरनेशनल लेवल पर काफी फेमस था। मां सीता और पिता का नाम चार्जर था। सीता का कुछ साल पहले ही शिकार हो गया था जबकि चार्जर घायल अवस्था में दम तोड़ दिया था। लेकिन रविवार को बी2 मौत की आगोश में चला गया। आशंका जताई जा रही है कि बाघ को बेहोशी की दवा की अधिक डोज दिए जाने के कारण संभवत: बाघ की मौत हुई।
रविवार को पार्क के कर्मचारी घुनघुटी वन परिक्षेत्र के चौरी बीट से बाघ को पार्क ले जा रहे थे। इस दौरान बाघ को बेहोश करने के लिए गन से दवा दी गई। बेहोशी की हालत में उसे पिंजड़े में रखकर पार्क एरिया मे लाते समय रास्ते में बाघ ने दम तोड़ दिया। उमरिया में लंबे वक्त से बाघों के लिए काम कर रहे वन्यप्राणी प्रेमी पुष्पेंद्र कहते हैं कि सामान्यत: एक बाघ 12 साल ही जीता है लेकिन बी2 की उम्र काफी अधिक हो गई थी। लेकिन इसकी मौत से सिर्फ बांधवगढ़ को ही नहीं बल्कि दुनियाभर के बाघ प्रेमियों को झटका लगा है।

I believe this photo to be a postmortem or memorial photograph showing a young boy with a monk-like attire and an aura of light around his face implicating his parents saw him as a little angel or even a saint.
Anonymous photographer, no location known either. I think the photo dates back to the late 19th century.
It is a cabinet card taken from my own collection of antique photographs.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, postmortem computed tomographic (PMCT) examination of lung disease is gaining importance to make suspicious findings visually apparent relatively quickly. This study focuses on visual mediation and development of new visual display modes using the so-called volume rendering technique (VRT).
The 3D reconstruction illustrates a PMCT of the lungs of a 30-year-old man with classic pattern of findings of COVID-19 pneumonia. The reconstruction materializes a section of the diseased lungs in cross-section (thick slab). Different tissue density values are differentiated by color mapping and spatially represented by simulating global illumination. This representation provides a view inside the organ to visualize morphological abnormalities such as milk glass densities present on both sides of the lung as well as consolidations.

The Whitefish, Montana-based National Policy Institute (NPI), whose efforts include a campaign to make the Republican Party exclusively white, plans to hold their conference on Oct. 26th, 2013. Among its speakers will be retired Sam Dickson of the Council of Conservative Citizens and Tomislav Sunic, a former Croatian diplomat and longtime white supremacist who recently was listed as one of the instructors in the Soldiers of the Cross Training Institute, that took place Aug. 23-29th, 2013 in Harrison, AR and organized by Pastor Thom Robb's Ku Klux Klan Knights Party.
NPI, a politically-connected white supremacist organization whose leader is calling for the “European world” to adopt eugenics to prevent those like Trayvon Martin friend Rachel Jeantel from becoming humanity's future, plans to hold a conference for the second time at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade in Washington, DC.
NPI is listed as a hate group via the Southern Poverty Law Center. SPLC stated that "The institute has published two studies: a critique of affirmative action, which the institute opposes; and "Mass Deportation is a Viable Solution to America's Illegal Immigration Crisis," written by Edwin Rubenstein. Who happens to be affiliated with VDARE which is an anti-immigration hate organization "dedicated to preserving our historical unity as Americans into the 21st Century."

PIERO SAN GIORGIO is a Swiss author and former businessman and software executive. For the past decade, Giorgio has dedicated himself to studying the global economic system and its dependence on ever-expanding populations, debt, and resource exploitation. His book on the fundamental unsustainable of the system was published in French to wide acclaim in both economic and “identitarian” circles; in September of this year, the English translation will appear, Survive—The Economic Collapse. Survive is both an economic and social analysis as well as a practical manual for successful, sustainable living in the “interesting times” that lie ahead.
TOMISLAV SUNIC is a Croatian-America author, translator, and former professor. He is best known for his history of the “Conservative Revolution” and European “New Right”—Against Democracy and Equality. His other works include Homo Americanus, Postmortem Report (a collection of essays), as well as other volumes in English, Croatian, and French.

We need changes to funeral services in Birmingham
"There is no more traumatic experience that dealing with the loss of a loved one. And as anybody who has experienced it will testify, the burial process is an integral part of coming to terms with their death. Unfortunately, too many grieving families in Birmingham face difficulties in making funeral arrangements for their loved ones.
For communities where there is a religious emphasis on a speedy burial, existing services are often found lacking. For example, if a person dies on the weekend, it is difficult to get a GP to sign a death certificate. Cemeteries open for only a few hours, the number of burials that take place is limited, delaying burial. In the cases where a Post Mortem is required by law, not only is there a long waiting time, but the family is not given the option of an MRI scan which is non-invasive and leaves the body intact. All this results in families pleading with the Coroner or Councillors to help them get things done when in actual fact there is little either can do. The system need to change.
Death, as with birth, does not happen only Monday to Friday. Just as with maternity services or accident services, we need a seven day a week service. That is why I have launched a campaign today to changes to funeral services in Birmingham. It has three demands.
One, rapid body release on weekends. Two, longer opening times for cemeteries to allow for evening burial to reduce delays. Three, using MRI scans, a type of ‘x-ray’, instead of cutting into bodies in cases where a Post Mortem is required by law.

I don't buy postmortem photographs because I think they are a little creepy. But I had to get these three vintage photos. I think they were very unusual because of their large size. The three photographs are mounted to cardboard frames that measures about 13, 3/4 inchs wide X 11, 3/4 inch tall. The photographs themselves are about 7, 1/4 inch X 9. 1/4 inch wide. The photos are very clear and show a lot of details. The photos are so large that they will not fit on my scaner. The two interior photos look the same, just different frames. It must have been a windy day at the cemetery. The grave site photograph shows some of the flowers in a blur.
