I believe that these are variants of the Postman butterfly (Heliconius melpomene). Sometimes referred to as a "Piano Keys" butterfly. I do not know why there are color variations; possibly gender dimorphism, hybridization, or different stages of life cycle?
OK it's staged but I did see postman this morning and I did look like this, He doesn't take any notice at all neither does any of the vast number of delivery drivers we have here.
The weather was rather nice at this point unlike half hour later when we had a mini monsoon.
When I first got this skirt it was just a snug fit now it's positively loose. the top came my way courtesy of my daughter as did the stripy one I wore the other day with the jean jacket.
Was a good day today I walked in on my wife twice while she was face timing her boss and colleague, that will get around the office lol. Its ok she did say the other week not to worry about as she isn't hiding anymore.
1900 was when Postman's Park became the location for George Frederic Watts's Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice, a memorial to ordinary people who died while saving the lives of others and who might otherwise be forgotten.
This takes the form of a loggia and long wall housing ceramic memorial tablets.
The Heroic act by 'Little Peter' & Alice took place 118 years ago today & is a good reminder of all the people who are making self-sacrifices at present.
The Red Postman (Heliconius erato) is one of about 40 Neotropical species of butterfly belonging to the genus Heliconius. It is also commonly known as the Small Postman, the Red Passion Flower Butterfly, or the Crimson-patched Longwing

The Postman Butterfly, Common Postman, or simply Postman (Heliconius melpomene) is a species of brush-footed butterfly belonging to the subfamily of longwings or heliconians.
The Postman is one of the commonest and most widespread of the longwings, found from Mexico to Bolivia and southern Brazil.
This butterfly is well known for its geographic diversity in colour pattern. Throughout its range, the Postman is co-mimetic with the Red or Small Postman (Heliconius erato), and both species have around 30 named geographic sub-species with very simular colors and markings. They are up to about 5.5 - 8.5 cm in wingspan.
The Postman in the picture is a sub-species from Costa Rica.
This picture is taken in the indoor butterfly garden Passiflorahoeve in Harskamp, the Netherlands.

"Wait Mister Postman
Oh yeah
(Is there a letter in your bag for me) Please, Please Mister Postman
(Why's it been a very long time) Oh yeah
(Since I heard from this boyfriend of mine)
There must be some word today
From my boyfriend so far away
Please Mister Postman, look and see
Is there a letter, a letter for me
I've been standin' here waitin' Mister Postman
So patiently, for just a card, or just a letter
Sayin' he's returnin' home to me
Please Mister Postman (Mister Postman, look and see) Oh yeah
(Is there a letter in your bag for me?) Please Please Mister Postman
(Why's it been a very long time) Oh yeah
(Since I heard from this boyfriend of mine)
So many days you passed me by
You saw the tears standin' in my eye
You wouldn't stop to make me feel better
By leavin' me a card or a letter
Please Mister Postman look and see (Postman postman)

ODC ~ March 24 ~ Hobby
The dictionary definition of “postman’s holiday” is n. a vacation or holiday spent in a pastime similar to one’s usual employment.
I'm an accountant, I'm good at it and it's what I do to make a living. Photography serves as a release for me and a way to relax, have fun and to get away from the grind of everyday life. I wonder what professional photographers do for a hobby !
