I ventured up into London on Saturday to do a little bit of shopping and have a look at some of the Christmas lights. Suddenly in the distance in St James Street I saw an old RF (Regal IV) bus. Whilst I have no interest in buses, I do have a soft spot for RF and RTs, which I remember riding on in my youth.
I really didn't expect to see it properly as I hot-footed it along King Street, but thankfully for me the traffic in St James Street was gridlocked so I had time to cross the street and get a couple of snaps.
Above the front wheel the board explains 'RF 366 Built 1952. Originally numbered RF 390, this bus was first used in January 1953. It first operated on route 213 from KINGSTON Bus Stn to BELMONT Stn. It was withdrawn from public service in 1976.'
Courtyard at Strongwater Food & Spirits - formerly an abandoned factory/warehouse, now a wedding/event venue.
A bit dried out, split and yet soldiering on - like others of us - every year telling its own story!

I couldn't leave without an image of the fenceline on it's own.
I've included a grey 1 pixel border around the image to contain the image, so that it doesn't get lost in the white background page.
I'll post another version of this on wednesday with a slightly different feel.

Shots of this amazing signage have been posted by me and other photographers, previously. It was the last sign to shoot for me while visiting Fresno that day. I felt it was appropriate to end the day with my own take of this sign. I felt sad to leave all of the signs I shot but it was time to shove off. Then the sun went down...

I dont usually post anything on my blog, but I wanted to share this. Everything was fine a few months back. Then I started noticing that when I washed my hair, more and more of it would come out. I finally went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with alopecia areata. I have dealt with hair loss before, but this time it was much more dramatic and much more noticable. I have gone through a huge range of emotions, anger, disgust, sadness,empowerment, acceptance, and back again. Tomorrow, I am going in to have the rest of what is left, shaved off. I went in two weeks ago to have just the sides done, but now the front is falling out. I dont know if I will let it grow back a third time. Each time is more devastating then the last. I havent been blogging that much lately, and this is one of the reasons why. This post is very special to me, because last week was my 6 year blog anniversary, and because of all of this, I missed it. But tomorrow starts a new chapter in my life.
