Taken at Union Hills SkatePark, Arizona.
This shot focuses on not the skater, but rather the culture behind it. As a designer, I see that this would be a perfect picture for an advertisement.

Dr. Hannah Mathers, OSU Professor and Gahanna resident, approached the City in the Fall of 2010 regarding possible locations for a Salt Tolerant Planting Study. The study involves taking various species of trees and shrubs grown in her nursery using techniques aimed at producing a more salt tolerant plant for use on roadside applications and replanting them in harsh environments. After evaluating various locations around the City, the I-270/Hamilton Rd. interchange was selected. Since this area has just been reconstructed, much of these areas have no existing vegetation that would require removal. It is also an area where the City had planned to add aesthetic landscaping in the future. The creation of this on-site research laboratory is truly a collaborative effort between OSU, ODOT, Bird Houk and Gahanna. All the material is being donated and much of the labor will be volunteer work. The project will further the research for Salt Tolerant Plantings and provide landscaping to beautify the City’s south gateway. As part of this project, we obtaining an ODOT "Gateway" grant which will provide reimbursement for all non-salt tolerant plants and will be used by the study to compare the results of OSU’s plantings. A large European jaguar (Panthera gombaszoegensis) roamed the European Mediterranean and temperate forests 1.5 Ma ago. This cat evolved into a lion and then into a jaguar. The direct ancestor of the modern jaguar is the Ice Age North American jaguar Panthera augusta. This jaguar species lived 1,800,000 to 100,000 years ago, was about the size of a lion and reached America coming from Siberia.
