Relevant Information: Owner and sole employee of Perez Air in Newark, New Jersey. The daughter of a wealthy real estate mogul, Mia easily turned her love of flying into a business subsidized by her father. She was hired by Hannah Helgrave during one of G.H.O.S.T.’s investigations, and wound up in an aerial dogfight with a firebird (actually a member of a relic population of pteranadons). Rather than being put off by the encounter, Mia wanted more, and often provides free transportation to G.H.O.S.T. for the chance to encounter more of the unknown. Hannah was impressed by her piloting and her technical skills, and often use her services for transportation.

Lateral slide work has begun, sliding concrete slabs into position, supporting the new I-5 over 26th Avenue bridge. The crew worked for weeks to build the false work just to slide these giant slabs in place.

Recently terminated Marriott worker Elizabeth Morales, who worked in housekeeping for 26 years
Marriott workers picketed outside the Boston Marriott Place Hotel urging hotels to commit to rehiring workers who were terminated because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Carlos Aramayo, president of the hotel workers union UNITE HERE Local 26, which is supporting the Marriott workers even though they were not union members spoke at the rally stating that “Workers who were terminated simply are demanding the right to return to their jobs after the pandemic if, and only if, those same jobs are recreated. Unlike the Marriott Copley, more than 30 hotels, including the Park Plaza, the Lenox and Copley Plaza, already have made that commitment.”
Additionally, members of UNITE HERE Local 26 are working with state Sen. Joe Boncore and Rep. Marjorie Decker to pass legislation to allow workers back into their jobs if and when the positions return. Under the bill, an employer would be required to offer any position that becomes available to a qualified laid off worker who held the same or a similar position at the hotel or who can become qualified for the position through the same training that would be provided to a new worker hired for the same position.
