One thing I have never ever been interested in when it comes to Photography is Human portraits. I am not in any way misanthropic but in my own opinion, I see humans everywhere, everyday and so I have little interest in including people in my work, besides, tell a human to smile, lean left, give me attitude and blah and so on, you get exactly that, when it comes to wildlife however, animals, insects, arachnids, what have you, the photographer is at the mercy of whatever is the circumstance and co-operation of the subject is at hand, this presents a while new enigmatic challenge and thus, it is for me so much more satisfying to create an artistic impression with that criteria in mind.
I hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

Taken on a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR coupled to a vintage M42 mount Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 2/58 (Silver semi-automatic preset version with 10 blade aperture from the 1950's) using a third party adapter. An M42 9mm extension tube incorporated. Shot hand-held @ 2.0 with reflected side-lighting utilized. Apart from RAW conversion and the most basic of edits, image taken as is.
I just love my Biotar..

Making her way down from her village, an Akha woman walks to the market. A daily routine that keeps life in the mountains connected.
Lovely kid let me take her photo as beautiful as she is. This is a front lighting, it make the photo a bit flat but beautiful. I didn't do any retouch and change the photo unrealistic way. Only few adjustment on raw converter to creat the photo itself.
I swear this is my best portrait ever yet. You know me with people, I never shoot them right :D
