The clematis trellis. A lot of birds use this as a launch pad for catching unwary insects flying across the yard. This is a little flycatcher. Bluebirds like to use this too.

El puente de U Bein, que cruza el lago Taungthaman, se encuentra en Amarapura, cerca de Mandalay en Myanmar, la antigua Birmania.
Se trata de un puente construido en teca aproximadamente en el año 1850 cuya longitud de 1,2 kilómetros lo ha situado como el más largo del mundo de su tipo.
When I took this shot, almost 2 years ago, while on a ferry to Mykonos, I could never imagine it would end up in the April 2009 issue of "POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY" magazine, as well as on their site...

The scene at New Hope Station is briefly sunlit amidst dense clouds on the first day of November 2025. Front and center is GP30 no. 2198, idling on the station track as passengers board their fall foliage excursion. In the background is 2-8-0 locomotive 40, topping up on water prior to its next run.
The Riu-Rau is a construction rural characteristic of the Marina Alta whose function was related to the production of "pasa" in that region, chiefly protect it of the inclemencies of the time.

One I've photographed at a show before. Urban miff also has this. A lovely old thing that's in regular use. It's driver doesn't hang about either!
How can this be 33 years old?! Certainly done well to survive this long, looks like it was getting used very sparingly until 2017/18, then it was off-road until 2020 since when the mileage has been going up more rapidly - it did nearly 11,000 miles between tests in January 2022 and 2023.

Cover girl on this issue is Ethelrida Leopold. At the time she was described as a Hollywood "bit player". She actually appeared in nearly 60 films, primarily when a pretty face was needed. She appeared in several Three Stooges movie shorts, and had a small part in the "Wizard Of Oz". She died in Los Angeles, California in 1998.

I was in position for sunrise which turned out to be a bit of a non event on this morning but i did get a nice shot of Venus in close proximity to the new crescent moon.
Back to buisness and here we see 37419 leading the 3J51 0950 York Thrall to York Thrall Nth Yks RHTT service with 37422 bringing up the rear.
The solitary tree is the natural balance for any composition at this location and has featured in many a shot. I think its an Oak and definitely not a Poplar.

Esta Hoya Carnosa Krimson Princess es popularmente conocida como “ flor de cera” o “flor de nácar”, llegó en el 1809 procedente de China, creo que es claro que parece de nácar , espero haberlo logrado con la imagen y entonces , no hay más que observar estos capullos totalmente cerrados aún para entender las razones de su conocido apodo.
Como decía Linneo, padre de la actual taxonomía, es importante respetar el Código de Nomeclatura Botánica porque
