Awww, had to take poor Jack to the vet this morning, after we noticed his pee was kinda the same colour as Li's hair. Not good, so off he went to see the vet. Turns out he's got cystitis (the cat, not the vet). He got two injections and some tablets to take. He loved the car journey, though; he little face was pressed right up against the front of his kitty cage, eyes wide, taking all the sights in.

This bird hit our window pane. We put him on the roof of the garden shack in case he got better, but he died later on.

Must have had some internal injuries. He had blood around his pecker.

Governor Hogan Visits Poor Girls Open by Steve Kwak at Fish Tales, 22st, 2107 Herring Way, Ocean City, MD 21842

Well, last night I am home a little early, wrapped up in sweats, anticipating an "ice" day today, and I get a call from Ginger at the shelter. That's never a good thing after closing time...last night was no different.

Ginger is frantic, she has a fawn female boxer that is all torn up. Ginger assumes a dog, or dogs, attacked her. She repeatedly said "blood everywhere", which I translate to being really bad because Ginger's not one to overreact. I couldn't even get her to tell me where the wounds were. She had her wrapped up in a blanket because she was in shock and freezing.

I tell Ginger to give me 15 minutes and I will call her back.

The LBR wheels started turning. I call Wendy, who calls Kim, who calls Angela. Angela agrees to foster her after Two's adoption this weekend. Wendy calls me, I call Ginger and let her know Kim is on the way to get that poor girl. Yes, it's after dark and the roads are getting treacherous, and still, the LBR wheels are turning, literally. Thank you Kim for braving the elements to get her safe.

Kim gets this baby to the emergency vet where they inform me her temperature is 94 degrees (101 is normal), so they begin to stabilize her.

I called this morning and she is back to a normal temp and is resting comfortably. They are turning her over every few minutes to make sure she is getting proper blood circulation.

Poor baby!

I don't know if it's tears of joy or if that horrible pixie just told her that Santa isn't real.

How could you be unhappy in an outfit like that??

I have sent Solingor an E-mail describing this, but have still failed to get an answer.

Poor lady that had to touch our feet. She was amused, and sickened at the same time.

This pic pretty much sums up the sadness of such a disaster as whatever happened here. It's waiting by the window waiting for coffee to be pored.

...that peep is no more.

Sandry was one of the unfortunate victims of the tickle battle that was unleashed at the end of the trip. I think she was being rescued here. :D
