I managed to score a wonderfully situated houseboat the other day and have been spending my time decorating..... and relaxing by the pool. More photos to come ;)
No, unfortunately I don't have a pool in my garden (although one would've come handy in the latest un-English weather :)

Just kickin' back enjoying a nice, humid evening @ poolside w/ my first fast connection since leaving Japan.
Life is good. Hanging out w/ ex-Wazzu pals, meeting up w/ some of my KL Flickr hoomans and getting ready to meet up w/ some of my Singapore hoomans soon.
Not excited to get back to work. Or Japan for that matter, actually. Malaysia feels more like the US than Japan does in some ways.
Don't miss Utsu. Miss my Tokyo hoomans, tho'. Hope ev'one there's doing well. As soon as I get back, I need to start planning my next 'kkaido visit next month.
In other news, I broke one of the two lenses I have with me. The M/MF slide gadget went kaplooey on me while I was shooting @ the Batu Caves on Sunday. Pfftp. Still works, thankfully. Just not in super top shape. If it ain't one thing... it's another making me want to spend monays on a new lens :P And I do *not* need new reasons to do that.
For what it's worth, I'm actually kind of glad I forgot my other lenses back home. I've taken a metric buttload of shots and I'm pretty sure most of them suck badly. Moreso than usual, I think. Just in a different mode here, I guess. Not sure what's up. Being here's definitely made me think about a lot of different things and photography seems to be low on that list.
