El pont de Besalú és un pont romànic d'entrada d'accés fortificada a Besalú que travessa el riu Fluvià. És protegit com a bé cultural d'interès nacional. Formava part de l'antic camí medieval que comunicava Girona amb Sant Esteve d'en Bas, passant per Banyoles, Besalú, Castellfollit de la Roca i Olot.
Es tracta d'un pont de forma angular de vuit arcs (el primer queda inclòs dins del sector corresponent al recinte emmurallat) desiguals, sobre pilars, molts d'ells fonamentats a la roca viva, amb tallamars. Al final del primer tram, entre el quart i el cinquè arc, hi ha un eixamplament de la calçada, la «creu grossa», i més endavant, entre el sisè i el setè, n'hi ha un altre, anomenat la «creu petita». El sector més antic del pont (que hom data del segle xi o XII) sembla que és el més proper a la vila de Besalú: s'hi poden observar filades irregulars de petits carreus, similars als que apareixien a les construccions més antigues de la vila. El portal d'accés, fortificat, està sobreposat al primer pilar del pont. Damunt del cinquè pilar, s'alça la torre fortificada, de planta hexagonal amb dos arcs de mig punt sobreposats, per la banda de llevant, i amb un arc apuntat i espitlleres al cim, per la banda de ponent.
Durant la guerra civil, en el moment de la retirada de la zona republicana, es dinamitaren algunes arcades que foren restaurades l'any 1965.

The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct that crosses the Gardon River in southern France. Located near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, the bridge is part of the Nîmes aqueduct, a 50-kilometre (31 mi) system built in the first century AD to carry water from a spring at Uzès to the Roman colony of Nemausus (Nîmes)

Pont-Aven was a centre for milling along the river Aven which, at one time, powered fourteen water mills. The town was named in Breton « Bro goz ar milinou », which means the old country of mills, and it was known for its fourteen mills and fifteen houses.
Because of its milling industry, Pont-Aven became an important port.
Son histoire est liée à celle des comtes de Chiny (X-XIVe siècles).
Copie du premier pont en pierre de 1740, cet ouvrage d'art se dresse dans un des plus beaux sites de la vallée de la Semois.

If you have time its worth seeing large I think
This was the first time I have used the Pont de Normandie when I was last in the area it was still under construction . It's an elegant construction and well worth the 5€ to cross . In your car you do seem to be a very long way above the River Seine. They certainly designed a very extreme arch, the architect clearly loves Rollercoasters .
The bridge was inaugurated on 20 January 1995 When it opened to the public, it was both the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world, and also had a record distance between piers for a cable-stayed bridge. It was more than 250 metres (820 ft) longer between piers than the previous record. It lost the world record quite quickly but Pont de Normandie remains the bridge with the longest span in France.
Linking Seine-Maritime to Calvados, and Le Havre to Honfleur, the bridge is 215 metres high and 2141 metres long. Thanks to its hight, it doesn’t obstruct the navigation of boats sailing up and down the River Seine. The bridge’s two gigantic pylons, shaped like upside-down Ys, resemble two giants rooted in the ground, on each side of the river.

La voie gallo-romaine (Via Agrippa) passe sur ce pont médiéval qui est inscrit au titre des Monuments Historiques depuis le 28 juin 2011.
Le pont du Châtelet est un élément du seul accès carrossable du hameau de Fouillouse. Il est à largeur de voie unique de 3m, situé sur la commune de Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye. Malgré son arche unique de pierres, il semble comme posé au sommet d'une gorge étroite de 27 mètres, très profonde, car il surplombe la rivière Ubaye de 108 mètres. Autant l'écrin montagneux, la roche aux tons ocre-gris, l'étroitesse, comme l'enchainement immédiat avec un petit tunnel de roche à voie unique, rendent le site vraiment marquant.
Acueducto romano de Tarragona, también conocido como Puente del Diablo (Pont del Diable) o Acueducto de les Ferreres.
Esta magnífica construcción tenía como fin recoger el agua del río Francolí y transportarla hasta la ciudad.
Su construcción se sitúa en el siglo I dC.
La conducción recogía el agua en la actual localidad de Puigdelfí y la conducía hasta Tárraco. El puente de les Ferreres se construyó para salvar un valle natural.
