vraiment brancher des câbles et écouter ce que cela donne au moment de tourner le

bouton. Stefan Rudin crée sur scène autant de sons que possible, mixés chacun sur leur

propre canal et improvise alors une conflagration sonore possiblement aléatoire.

Teapotty at Chi-TEK at the V&A by Rain Rabbit

Chi-TEK Tea Party of electronic / hacked teapots by women artists at the V&A, London www.mztek.org/programs/chi-tek/

Teapotty! is a teapot sitting on a servo which takes readings from a magnetometer which is influenced by neodymium magnets in a cup. The magnetometer takes the reading from the north position, plays a bit of something similar to the Tetley Tea tune and then moves to a new position - where the teacup moves to. BlinkM RGB LEDs indicate the new position of the teapot by changing colour based on the teapot's new position from 0-180 degrees. I made some polymorph diffuser covers for them & also added heart confetti to emphasise the feeling of heartwarming happiness a cup of tea can bring :-)

Obsidian & devitrified obsidian gravel (Obsidian Cliff, Yellowstone, Wyoming, USA) 3 by James St. John

Obsidian is a glassy-textured, extrusive igneous rock. Glassy-textured rocks have no crystals at all. They form by very rapid cooling of lava or by cooling of high-viscosity lava. Most obsidians form by the latter. Obsidian can be felsic, intermediate, mafic, or alkaline in chemistry. Most are felsic to intermediate.

A famous locality in North America is Obsidian Cliff at Yellowstone, Wyoming. It is a Pleistocene-aged lava flow with the chemistry of rhyolite (= a light-colored, felsic, aphanitic, extrusive igneous rock). The cliff itself shows columnar jointing. The rocks principally range from aphyric rhyolitic obsidian to partially devitrified rhyolitic obsidian. Lithophysae are sometimes present. Extremely small, microscopic crystals are present - they can be seen in thin sections. Some samples are reported to have small olivine phenocrysts. Small clusters of crystals, composed of plagioclase feldspar, pyroxene, and olivine, are sometimes present.

Many Obsidian Cliff rock samples have light-colored spots and bands - these are areas of devitrification. Glass is unstable on geologic times scales and it slowly crystallizes. The light-colored spots and bands are now non-glassy. Spotted, partially devitrified obsidian is known by the rockhound term "snowflake obsidian" (see: www.flickr.com/photos/jsjgeology/16561606417). The spots are composed of silica (SiO2), but are not quartz. Rather, they are composed of a polymorph of quartz - cristobalite.

Hépatique des fontaines (Marchantia polymorpha) by photopoésie

Marchantiacée dioïque à rosette de thalles aplatis, jusqu'à 10 cm de long et 2 cm de large, au bord ondulé et aux lames vert foncé, couchées, incisées, dichotomes ou divisées. Face supérieure avec marques hexagonales et face inférieure couverte de nombreuses racines ou rhizoïdes qui fixent la plante dans le sol.

Certains thalles portent des gamétanges, à savoir les structures de reproduction. Les gamétophores femelles constitués d'une tige en forme d'étoile ou de parapluie fortement lobé (archégoniophores aux capsules sporales jaunes sans pédicelle se formant à la face inférieure des ombrelles âgées) avec des rayons dans la partie supérieure contenant les archégones ou organes produisent les ovules. Les gamétophores mâles surmontées d'un disque aplati modérément lobé (anthéridiophores pédonculés à extrémité en forme d'ombrelle à 5 côtes) contiennent les anthéridies enfouies dans les cavités produisant le sperme.

Les Bryophytes sont classiquement divisées en Mousses et en Hépatiques. Les Mousses (bryoflore française d'environ 900 espèces) comprennent 3 sous classes : les Eubrya ou Mousses au sens strict, les Andraeobrya et les Sphagnobrya ou Sphaignes. Les Hépatiques peuvent être démembrées en 2 classes, celle des Hépatiques au sens strict (dont la famille des Marchantiacées) avec quelques 300 espèces d'hépatiques de la bryoflore française et celle des Anthocérotes :avec 5 espèces en France (cf. J Augier et HM Jahns).

A famous locality in North America is Obsidian Cliff at Yellowstone, Wyoming. It is a Pleistocene-aged lava flow with the chemistry of rhyolite (= a light-colored, felsic, aphanitic, extrusive igneous rock). The cliff itself shows columnar jointing. The rocks principally range from aphyric rhyolitic obsidian to partially devitrified rhyolitic obsidian. Lithophysae are sometimes present. Extremely small, microscopic crystals are present - they can be seen in thin sections. Some samples are reported to have small olivine phenocrysts. Small clusters of crystals, composed of plagioclase feldspar, pyroxene, and olivine, are sometimes present.

Shona Art, to me, is very seductive and extremely beautiful.

The variety of soft and hard coloured stone that is used invites one to explore it, both visually and mentally. It is mesmerizing to sit an contemplate.

This lovely piece is out of Serpentine stone and was done by Elliot Katombera who is a young Shoto Artist who works out of Harare, Zimbabwe.

The serpentine group describes a group of common rock-forming hydrous magnesium iron phyllosilicate minerals; they may contain minor amounts of other elements including chromium, manganese, cobalt and nickel.

In mineralogy and gemology, serpentine may refer to any of 20 varieties belonging to the serpentine group.There are three important mineral polymorphs of serpentine: antigorite, chrysotile and lizardite.

In the variety found throughout Zimbabwe its colours vary from black to brown to green, orange and variegated. Hardness level varies from very soft to vary hard. Measured on a moss scale where a diamond is ten, serpentine goes from 1.2 up to 6.54. The majority of the sculptors today, however do not carve from soft serpentine, but rather select deposits of rock that are hard and therefore more durable.

Katombera is around 30 years old and has been working with Shona Sclupture for the last 15 years.

This small piece also graces my home.

Hosto nahiko lodiak, 5-10 (15) cm-ko luzera eta 3-6 (8) cm-ko zabalerakoak, oblongo-eliptikoak, obatuak edo hertsiki biribilduak, askotan apexean emarginatuak, batzuetan akuminatuak, baina apex biribilduarekin, oinarri kordatua edo biribildua, ertza koskagabea edo irregularki mukroidun-horzduna erditik gora, gainaldea zetaduna edo matea, glabroa, azpialdea opakua edo pixka bat glaukoa, glabreszentea, pezioloak 6-15 (25) mm-ko luzerakoak. Ezkurrak urtero ontzen dira, banaka edo binaka, 5-30 mm-ko luzerako pedunkuluarekin, hemisferikoak dira, 20-25 mm-ko luzera eta 12 mm-ko diametrokoak, kupula gehienez 15 mm-ko diametrokoa. Espeziea Mexikokoa eta Guatemalakoa da batik bat, eta Texasen ere populazio txiki bat dago (Estatu Batuak). Iturraranen, 1. zonan dago.

Glands annuels, solitaires ou en couples, avec pédoncule de 5-30 mm de long, hémisphériques, de 20-25 mm de long sur 12 mm de diamètre, cupule de 15 mm de diamètre maximum. Espèce originaire du Mexique et Guatemala, avec une petite population au Texas (États-Unis). À Iturraran ils se trouvent dans la zone 1.

This Momoko outfit I bought ages ago fits her perfectly and I’m ecstatic with how she looks in it. I realised after taking these photos that I have a pair of transparent rose angel wings that would suit her theme, and she needs a miniature book or scroll of healing spells... So her look isn’t *quite* finalised but I love these photos anyway :D

bouton. Stefan Rudin crée sur scène autant de sons que possible, mixés chacun sur leur

propre canal et improvise alors une conflagration sonore possiblement aléatoire.

Teapotty! is a teapot sitting on a servo which takes readings from a magnetometer which is influenced by neodymium magnets in a cup. The magnetometer takes the reading from the north position, plays a bit of something similar to the Tetley Tea tune and then moves to a new position - where the teacup moves to. BlinkM RGB LEDs indicate the new position of the teapot by changing colour based on the teapot's new position from 0-180 degrees. I made some polymorph diffuser covers for them & also added heart confetti to emphasise the feeling of heartwarming happiness a cup of tea can bring :-)

As borboletas são insectos da ordem Lepidoptera classificados nas super-famílias Hesperioidea e Papilionoidea, que constituem o grupo informal Rhopalocera.

As borboletas têm dois pares de asas membranosas cobertas de escamas e peças bucais adaptadas a sucção. Distinguem-se das traças (mariposas) pelas antenas rectilíneas que terminam numa bola, pelos hábitos de vida diurnos, pela metamorfose que decorre dentro de uma crisálida rígida e pelo abdómen fino e alongado. Quando em repouso, as borboletas dobram as suas asas para cima.

As borboletas são importantes polinizadores de diversas espécies de plantas.

O ciclo de vida das borboletas engloba as seguintes etapas:

1) ovo→ fase pré-larval

2) larva→ chamada também de lagarta ou taturana,

3) pupa→ que se desenvolve dentro da crisálida (ou casulo)

4) imago→ fase adulta

A butterfly is any of several groups of mainly day-flying insects of the order Lepidoptera, the butterflies and moths. Like other holometabolous insects, butterflies' life cycle consists of four parts, egg, larva, pupa and adult. Most species are diurnal. Butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. Butterflies comprise the true butterflies (superfamily Papilionoidea), the skippers (superfamily Hesperioidea) and the moth-butterflies (superfamily Hedyloidea). All the many other families within the Lepidoptera are referred to as moths.

Butterflies exhibit polymorphism, mimicry and aposematism. Some, like the Monarch, will migrate over long distances. Some butterflies have evolved symbiotic and parasitic relationships with social insects such as ants. Butterflies are important economically as agents of pollination. The caterpillars of some butterflies eat harmful insects. A few species are pests because in their larval stages they can damage domestic crops or trees. Culturally, butterflies are a popular motif in the visual and literary arts.

Silica-permineralized conifer dating to the 1600s (Yellowstone, Wyoming, USA) 1 by James St. John

According to a park ranger, this slightly-curved tree trunk has been dated to the 1600s A.D. (I'm unaware of a published analysis). The tree was killed by hydrothermal water - many conifers adjacent to Yellowstone's thermal areas have been. The vascular tissues in the tree trunk have been partially to mostly filled with mineral matter precipitated from hot water that moved upward by capillary action. The permineralizing material is opal - hydrous silica (SiO2·nH2O). With time, the opal dehydrates and becomes quartz (or a polymorph of quartz).
