Pretty much an unchanged figure design from 2015, but with a new 2021 studio setup. I'm alive. Hi everyone.

While I wasn't a huge fan of Dr. Strange (I thought it was too silly for the character), the GOTG Vol. 2 and Spider-Man Homecoming trailers have totally won me over. These are two upcoming movies that are supposed to be funny and light-hearted, and I am very much looking forward to seeing them.
I tried to make these figures representative of the hybrid MCU-comic Guardians lineup that debuted after the release of the 2014 movie. I'm quite happy with how Gamora's space armor turned out; the silver arm printing didn't have to be removed in this case since it fits the sci-fi aesthetic.
Agent Venom's head is from OnlineSailin's custom-printed figure, but everything else about him is purist.
Let me know what you think!
Fig formulas:
Drax: The Hobbit: DoS Tauriel daggers, S16 Kendo Warrior legs
Gamora: Disney CMF Syndrome arms, custom painted hair, Scout Trooper Torso, S16 Astronaut legs
Star-Lord: S12 Gamer hips, SW Microfighters AT-AT Pilot legs, Ravager Rocket Raccoon left arm, brown hands
Rocket Raccoon: Hank Pym Ant-Man torso
Agent Venom: Winter Soldier polybag right leg, S16 Secret Agent left leg, Venom tentacle and torso

LEGO Universe had a rough run, but in its ideals, ambitions, its music and artworks, was something magical! Even though the game didn't perform well enough financially, it captured the hearts of players and LEGO fans like few other LEGO game ever did. After its shut-down, there was no real successor that could fill the void, and next to nothing physical to hold on to either (only two polybag sets). I very firmly believe that LEGO Universe deserves to be put on a proper pedestal for its legacy, in the form of a tribute set. I believe in second chances, and if there's one theme that deserves to get one, it would be LEGO Universe!
I have really put my heart and soul into designing this. Fitting a whole game, especially one as complex as LU, into a feasible set was an ambitious goal, but I have given it my all. I wanted to make something to do justice to LU, but also something that is appealing to LEGO fans in general, with interesting parts, techniques and a nice colour palette. I'm definitely satisfied with the result, but let me know what you think about it!
Two technical details: 1382 pieces and 5 minifigures are included.

Collection of free SW promos/polybags/minifigs from 2010 up to 2016 available at US Lego stores. Kept together with the store calendar/cards appropriate for each item and stored in clear sheet protectors.
Kaitimar's mini Batmobile, with a couple of twists of my own.

I continued the fluid line of the cockpit towards the back and I lowered the "wings" into a more dynamic position. The "nose" is a little more aggressive on my version and I also added some contrasting details.
–
It's a simple build, with common parts, yet the result is quite nice in my opinion. I wish the Batmobile polybag would have something more like this inside.
After getting his hair cut at the new Barber Shop, Larry stops to buy some flowers for his wife from the new Flower Cart.
Oh, I just realized I haven't named the Flower Cart guy yet. We have "Frank the Hot Dog Vendor", "Pops the Balloon Vendor". I need a good name for the flower guy :-)
LEGO sets I didn’t know I made.
A couple of days ago I was looking thru my old stickers and when I stumbled upon some Tiny Turbos sheets, I started to swivel in nostalgia. I checked via Bricklink which sets the stickers belong to, and in set 8186 from 2009 I found a car I knew.
I built a red and white 1950s car for Creator when I started in Billund in 2006, they needed a cheap thing to be put in a polybag, I thought I had just the thing, but they never used it and I forgot about it. Today I went to Erik Ravn, who back then was heavily involved in Racers, and asked him about it, and he was like “yea, that’s yours, we just changed the color”…

Just a test shot to see, will the simple blue garbage bag look like a water? Weeell... Nope. But it's rather funny, isn't it?

LEGO 365: Jar Jar Having A Bad Year
The fish was from the opening ceremony polybag speed build at Brickfete this year.
Backstory: I'm a huge SW nerd, of the "read way too much of the EU" kind- Stackpole's Rogue Squadron is still my favorite SW series- and I've been building SW stuff since before there were official sets (that I knew of). However, as a poor bastard, I could never afford (or would receive) multiple minifig-scale sets, so as a wee one, if I wanted to play with a bunch of ships, I had to build my own. Enter the early 2000s microscale ships. They were shitty, but I loved them. So much so that, after seeing TFA (and the new microscale polybag sets), I decided to dust off my box of bricks and build something. Uncountable hours of frustration later (I'm an awful builder) I had a working rainbow model. Several days later, (again, awful builder) I finished this- a microscale T-65 X-Wing, with 100% canonical coloration (yes light grey is a better match, but it looked boring as hell and the printed tiles only come in white). I need to find a better greebling panel for the back of the ship (and the grimy and scratched up printed tiles will be replaced) but otherwise I'm pretty happy with this. Happy new years

Whew.
After a long day of train travel, I wasn't sure if I had the energy to assemble the next big figbarf that I had been planning for so long. But here it is - nine speedsters who are either flagship or peripheral members of the famed Flash Family.
I'm exceptionally proud of how Bart Allen turned out. When I originally brainstormed this group, I had no plans to include any iteration of Kid Flash, mainly because he was impossible to recreate without resorting to KO or custom parts. Then one day, a veritable eureka moment came to me when I was goofing around with the Catman minifigure: his torso could actually work for a decent Kid Flash! The claw marks on his chest are more or less like lightning bolts!
My other favorites of this group are Jesse Quick and Fastback (that weird looking blue turtle). If you're unfamiliar with the latter, he was actually a prominent character in CONVERGENCE: THE FLASH. He's basically an anthromorphic turtle with super-speed, and his first appearance was as a member of the Zoo Crew from Earth-26 (New Teen Titans #6, February 1982).
I hope you all enjoy these figs! Much more is to come. : )

So another exclusive set? *yawn*
No seriously. There’s nothing so special about this. It’s another terrible marketing ploy from a standpoint...it truly is.
Let’s be honest here: Some of these printed parts suck and throws off the audience. Have we seen something really good like a Bizzarro fig that appears in an actual set? Or some CW heroes that never existed in polybags because Barry changed the timeline? No. Because Lego is just lazy, and they have always been. It’s always been a hard gut feeling if you can’t get to SDCC, and these figs are only made available to people who can be there. Yet when they pull off a exclusive, they still get hate for accessibility. So two sides of the coin here, it’s not good. Do realise that not everyone is rich and able to own one.
What could have been better was the use of polybags. Sure, they might be a bit pricey but they’re really worth it. Evidenced by TASM2’s Electro, old Yularen Winter Soldier and etc. It’s a great “rare” fig that sits behind the level of exclusive. The other alternative is to actually get an exclusive, without any actual figs in it, like the Tumbler, the Batmobile.
By all means, when you’re poor/not wanting to get exclusive and you have great parts, you can make much better purist or customs than what Lego does with official ones.
To go with my Hulks, here's Maestro!

NOTE: This was reuploaded on 3/29/2017 after I realized that I had foolishly deleted the original image from Flickr when I accidentally turned on auto-upload on my phone and freaked out when I saw all my phone pictures on Flickr (although this really wasn't the case). This was unfortunately caught in the mass-deletion crossfire.
My May 4th Lego.com order finally came yesterday, and this is what I got! The Battle On Scarif set (which was on sale for $40), 2 Imperial Trooper Battlepacks, 2 Rebel Trooper Battlepacks, and a free promotional R2-D2 polybag build (which is so much better than last year's "exclusive" First Order Stormtrooper minifigure)!
That's all for now, just thought I'd post this because why not.
Well first off, sorry for being late to upload this, my phone was acting up and so I couldn't get access to the picture. Anyway, here is my most recent haul from 2 different Lego Stores, 4 Walmart's, and 2 Toys R Us', so let's get started!!
So I went to 5-6 Walmart's looking for the Joker Training Zone polybag, and struck out at everyone one except the White Plains NY where I was lucky enough to find them and I ended up buying 6 but they are not pictured. But, during my hunt for the joker polybag, I did find the Flash vs Captain Cold Mighty Micro's for $7 which is one I have had been looking to find discounted for a while now and it is now discontinued and goes for $10+ now so imaging my surprise to find it at a Walmart. Then I went to 2 different TRU's in Connecticut to see what they had since they were on my way to my destination and at the one I found the LBM cmf's and felt all the ones I wanted (which was 10 or so) and I then reached the minimum for the mini batmobile polybag (which is actually my least favorite of all the LBM polybags but, free is free so I can't complain). Then, I went to the TRU by the Danbury Mall and picked up the clayface set (after pricing matching it to Amazon) and a few discounted BrickWarriors, as well as 2 Disney CMF's (which are not pictured) before no store longer carries them which reached the minimum for another free mini Batmobile so wahoo! I then had a friend hook me up with just the box of the LBM cmf's which I was thrilled about. Then I went to the Danbury Mall Lego store (which if you are in the area I would highly recommended going because the employees are just awesome and when you go on Lego.com's store locator, there store is the one that is pictured on the main page) and bought most of those keychains, PaB cup, Nexo Knights Battlepack's for $7.50 each, and then received the mini batwing polybag as a constellation prize for doing the scavenger hunt. I was then blessed with the two minifig polybags pictured on the right, the krypto polybag, and two older monthly mini builds (not pictured) for doing a good dead as well as reaching a minimum for a promotion. I then bought another PaB cup, the LBM police accessory pack, and the wedding cake topper at another Lego store (which I don't remember the specific store) and was allowed to pick through a bin of parts from sets that were too damaged to sell they had to open them up & part them out to send back to Lego for recycling. The bin had sets ranging from Star Wars, to City, to DC superhero girls, all the way up to the Disney Castle which I was able to pick my favorite pieces from (minus most of the important minifigure parts but, I was still able to find many excellent minifig parts including the Disney Castle suit Mickey torso) and you can see many of the great pieces I was able to find like exclusive parts from the castle, to a stickered train map panel, to open holed studs, to windscreen pieces, and so on. But, after picking all of these amazing parts I felt so blessed and walked away being the happiest guy in the world. Not pictured were a LBM starter/accessory pack, two Harley Quinn posters, 5 Batman masks, a half price Ninjago Chain cycle ambush, and Sergeant Jyn Erso constraction figure for $9 (both being from Walmart) that didn't make the final picture because they were purchased after the fact.
So what do you think? And if you have made it this far through my "article" then I applaud you.
I went to the Lego Store today and bought the Lego Marvel Captain America - Civil War Cossbones' Hazard Heist and Black Panther Puruit, the Lego Star Wars Battlefront Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire Battle Packs, and the Lego Scooby-Doo Mummy Museum Mystery! I also received a free Lego Ninjago Kai's Mini Dragon Polybag. :)
That's all for now.
Saw this polybag on Shopee, decided to get it... Modified it with the same style as the other racers... Hahah!! I'm a bit crazy with these cute racers at the moment...
Made more him crystalline, gave his shield its spin back, and "got rid of" the gearbox (I just made him a new body with Tahu's shoulders, and put his original body off to the side). I'm one Mixel set away from finishing Europe's August's falcon polybag.

Here in the US, it's National Pizza Month so Spooky Girl wanted pizza for dinner instead of snake and rat stew. The poor pizza delivery guy... he was smiling but once he stepped inside their living room and saw how creepy it was, he couldn't wait to get out of there.
I got the idea to use a dark blue sky from Lost Trooper. I'm hoping it gives the impression that the sun has just set and hopefully it adds an eerie feeling to the photo.
The grandfather clock didn't come with the Haunted House, I got it from a polybag 2 years ago that included a ghost.
Here's a little Star Wars The Force Awakens Haul of things i've gotten a few different days throughout this past month. I got the Kylo Ren mask and Kylo Ren lightsaber and an Exclusive Force Awakens C-3PO polybag from Toys R Us! That's all for now... :)

My biggest "Swoosher" ever!
This all started because I picked up a Galaxy Squad polybag set with an orange space minifigure in it and I decided he needed a space ship. I happened to have all these large parts sitting around that were hard to use for much else, like the wing, the orange wheels and airplane hulls, and the giant canopy, and it sort of just all fit together. I know I've seen similar things done before with the giant wing piece, but I can't remember who it was...
Nothing much to say about these.
Sinestro: Testing a combo with the Custom Bricks head and Lego's body.
Bizarro: Painted the eyebrows black and the red parts on the torso purple.
The Creeper: Really like this guy. The boa is made from a cut up Lego hairpiece that was painted red. I wanted to give him woody arms to make him look a little more mutated. Credit for arm idea goes to LegoSkeleton.
Martian Manhunter: Polybag fig with new cape piece and new head.
Black Adam: Aquaman head with painted eyebrows. It works.
What do you think? Which is your favorite and why?
A bunch of upgraded MCU figures, from left to right:
Endgame Thor: The hair isn't too accurate--Fili's (from The Hobbit sets) hairpiece would've worked a lot better, but I don't have that, and I think Luke's hair works second best. Everything else is the same from the last Marvel-related picture.
Iron Man Mark 85: Got this guy off Bricklink and gave him some sweet, sweet chrome gold arms. I think they match the gold printing on his legs really well, better than Lego's original pearl gold colored arms. Inspired by Minisuperheroestoday on instagram, but I've seen a lot of people use this combo before.
Captain America: I feel the AOU Cap torso is best Lego Cap torso. If you think differently, that's totally fine :), this is just my opinion. Pretty much my ultimate cap right now, at least until Phoenix Customs releases his Endgame Scaled suit Cap! That’s going to take the cake for the best LEGO rendition of MCU Cap! :D
Bucky: Thought Sirius Black's head worked pretty nice for an Endgame version of him.
Starlord: Finally got the LM2 Wildstyle legs and put them on him. I think he looks really nice, though some arms from the Rocket Raccoon polybag would make him even better. Still a great fig imo :)
Black Panther: Same as before, but I cut some excess chrome sticker paper out of the Harry Potter Great Hall sticker sheet and put them in Black Panther's eyeholes. This picture doesn't really do him justice--under the right lighting, his eyes look pretty darn awesome.
What do you guys think? Comments are, as always, very much appreciated!

A couple of weeks ago I was so lucky to be invited to the preview of The Batman movie with some friends of ItLUG (Italian LEGO Users Group).
Before entering at the cinema few black-dressed and very kind hostesses gave a Batman polybag to the guests.
With the Bat-minifigure in my hands I wanted to build something cool and of course dark, what about a Bat Rod in classic style?
I've built a lot of Hot Rods in my "career" but this one is my first attempt in minifig scale.
I've taken a little bit of inspiration from Calin ones.
Thanks for stopping by.
So this is the second in this series and I really like how these ones came out.
Left to right:
Armored Lex: added some nexo knights part for him
Flash: gave him new leg inspired off lord_of_lego (taged)
Firestorm: So the helmet head thing is very heavily insprired off Jonathon Wong Photography and the rest is my own take kind of.
Mirror Master: Just gave hime the helmet everyone else gives him
Mr Freeze: Custom printed onlinesailin Mr Freeze (Arkham City) just wanted to show him cause he is great.
Fig formulas:
Armored Lex: Polybag lex head, nexo knight ultimate Aaron armor, ultimate Aaron legs.

A simple walkway built with the equilateral triangle technique (stolen from...Katie?) and my stretched polybag technique. This can be flipped over without falling apart.
I believe this was built in 2012, but not photographed before. This polybag silliness was sturdy enough to survive the move!
This is wave two of my Batman: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. mini-crossover. It consists of: the Warborg, Nighthawk (not the official DC character), Crossbane, and Savage. When making these figures, specifically Savage, I remove red I have not yet posted my custom Vandal Savage, so I will do that soon. I also realized the lighting isn't the best, so I apologize for that. Anyways, thank you for taking the time to look at this, as well as your support, and here are the fig formulas: The Warborg: CW Warhammer helmet, head, legs, and boosters. Cyborg torso. Nighthawk: Blue Polybag Nightwing head, hair and left arm, CW Hawkeye torso (minus the left arm) and legs. Crossbane: Dark Knight Rises Bane head and arms, Crossbones torso and legs. Savage: Mandarin hair, beard, torso and legs. PoP head and Pirates pauldrons.
Russian supersoldier Red Guardian is launching a daring escape! Use the new Red Guardian minifigure to blast down the barred door with his strength and break out. The prison model features the exploding door break function, and Red Guardian includes his signature shield. A hair piece is even included for a more casual look! You can help Black Widow on her mission to protect her family and save the world with this exciting new set.
Another entry for the Brickset Polybag Competition. Here's hoping a real Red Guardian fig is coming somewhere down the line. Very excited for this movie when it is actually coming out!

5988: Temple of Anubis
So this set has two names, like a few of the Adventurers sets. Here in Britain it was called 'temple of Anubis' whereas in other countries it was called 'Pharaoh's forbidden ruins'.
I went with the Temple of Anubis name and incorporated numerous Anubis details as possible.
Looking at the original set I wasn't particularly fond of the big scary mouth design for the temple. So I took a look at other Egyptian temples and went with the traditional pylon design (pylons are the names given to the two sloped parts of the temple. With a small entrance between them).
The overall exterior looks more faithful to ancient Egyptian architecture. If I had loads of storage space for decals on mecabricks I would have added some hieroglyph designs on the slopes. But sadly I couldn't.
Inside there's additional detail, the original set was a bit sparse, so for the lower rooms I added a tomb filled with gold and treasure, along with both rooms featuring murals depicting the re-gou ruby.
Up top is just a room with a cursed chest (and a booby trap) and in the other room is a mysterious book...
For the actual location of the ruby I made my own special twist. In Egyptian lore Anubis is responsible for guiding souls to the afterlife. But is also responsible for weighing a person's heart on the scales. Should their heart be lighter than the feather, they are granted passage to the afterlife. Should the heart be heavier then their soul shall be devoured by Ammit (a crocodile/hippo/beast hybrid demon).
Thr temple of Anubis features a tear in reality. Where the underworld bleeds through. Perched on the crumbling platform is a set of golden scales which the ruby rests upon. The ruby tests the adventurer by their soul and their intentions. Should they be worthy, the scales shall shift and they may take the Re-Gou ruby. If the ruby senses the greed and unworthiness in an individual's soul then the scales shall fall down, the temple will collapse and the individual shall be dragged body and soul into the dark abyss beneath them.
And that wraps it up for the Egypt subtheme of Adventurers. I won't be revamping and of the tiny polybag sets like the river raft because they're pretty much there for extra pieces and minifigures.
I may revist the jungle theme again I did a revamp series for jungle and Dino island back in 2019. But I might make some new updates on them in the foreseeable future.
