3D view on Mecabricks - note the description.

You might remember I've bought a Shell polybag recently. Turns out it wasn't the only one for me - got myself a 30193 250 GT Berlinetta just a couple days later =P

While these Ferrari polybags are a nice relic I don't really want to disassemble, I couldn't help but think it will be a good idea to use its red nosecut part, borrowed from Finn McMissile of Cars 2, as anything but a Tiny Turbo "nose". Not really a fresh idea by any means, since that's exactly how LEGO designed McMissile's spy colleague, Holley Shiftwell. In the end, a mixed hybrid of 50's tailfin era cars and 60's muscle cars was born, with the decreased ride height a la contemporary lowriders - think it's possible IRL thanks to conveniently designed empty space inside the nosecut. And it was a small rendering challenge for me, too - Mecabricks doesn't have the 93597 part in library, which is fairly understandable due to its obscurity, so I decided to borrow this part mesh from Studio. Worked relatively well combined with Mecabricks materials.

To be continued ...

Opened the second lid and found these sealed Time Cruisers (?!?) sets mixed with small Town sets and a few Western sets including two early 6791 polybags(!?!).

Early on, my three sons have been taught to keep their toys back in their boxes/containers so that they know where to find them.

These sets are not for sale/trade, any offers/questions about buying/selling these and the summer inventory will be deleted.

I took this photo very quickly. It turns out that sore throat I had last week was Strep! And it wiped me out (and made all my minifigs sick).

Yesterday morning I pushed myself to get to Toys R Us to get this polybag. At first they said they didn't have it but the manager searched in the back and came out with one for me. Phew! I was too tired to drive to another Toys R Us, so I'm glad they found one for me.

*NOT A REAL SET*

This was built for Brickset's Build a Polybag competition. I hope you enjoyed :)

I thought I would try something different so I bought some lights from Brickstuff and have been playing around with them :-) They work very well for the lantern (although I had to remove the wire in post processing) :-)

The minifig and the cave are from the Mining Heavy Driller set 60186. The lantern is from the LEGO Xtra polybag 40312 :-)

Presenting a build made primarily out of TIE polybag parts because that's pretty much all I have access to. Also I made this for eric but for the life of me I can't tag him.

At 53 bricks with the minifigure (but not the stand) we're almost in polybag territory so considering that, I'm really pleased with how it looks.

5988: Temple of Anubis

So this set has two names, like a few of the Adventurers sets. Here in Britain it was called 'temple of Anubis' whereas in other countries it was called 'Pharaoh's forbidden ruins'.

I went with the Temple of Anubis name and incorporated numerous Anubis details as possible.

Looking at the original set I wasn't particularly fond of the big scary mouth design for the temple. So I took a look at other Egyptian temples and went with the traditional pylon design (pylons are the names given to the two sloped parts of the temple. With a small entrance between them).

The overall exterior looks more faithful to ancient Egyptian architecture. If I had loads of storage space for decals on mecabricks I would have added some hieroglyph designs on the slopes. But sadly I couldn't.

Inside there's additional detail, the original set was a bit sparse, so for the lower rooms I added a tomb filled with gold and treasure, along with both rooms featuring murals depicting the re-gou ruby.

Up top is just a room with a cursed chest (and a booby trap) and in the other room is a mysterious book...

For the actual location of the ruby I made my own special twist. In Egyptian lore Anubis is responsible for guiding souls to the afterlife. But is also responsible for weighing a person's heart on the scales. Should their heart be lighter than the feather, they are granted passage to the afterlife. Should the heart be heavier then their soul shall be devoured by Ammit (a crocodile/hippo/beast hybrid demon).

Thr temple of Anubis features a tear in reality. Where the underworld bleeds through. Perched on the crumbling platform is a set of golden scales which the ruby rests upon. The ruby tests the adventurer by their soul and their intentions. Should they be worthy, the scales shall shift and they may take the Re-Gou ruby. If the ruby senses the greed and unworthiness in an individual's soul then the scales shall fall down, the temple will collapse and the individual shall be dragged body and soul into the dark abyss beneath them.

And that wraps it up for the Egypt subtheme of Adventurers. I won't be revamping and of the tiny polybag sets like the river raft because they're pretty much there for extra pieces and minifigures.

I may revist the jungle theme again I did a revamp series for jungle and Dino island back in 2019. But I might make some new updates on them in the foreseeable future.

This is a colour-swap and Mod of Lego's fantastic 76031 Hulkbuster.

I bought this set for my kids when it came out and I've always admired the way it captures the stance and feel of the Hulkbuster in such a simple and efficient manner.

When the R2-D2 Polybag came out I couldn't help but feel that this was a mash-up that needed to happen!

He stands a touch over half the height of my other mechs but I think he fits right in with this motley crew haha!

I tried to get this ready by the end of Mech-tober but ran out of time.

I had a lot of fun building this guy and I hope you like it!

Sometimes your heavy duty ultra-lifted off-roader behemoth just won't do. Luckily for Cole and Nelson, they now have the ultra-light conveniently-sized mini Roader. Perfect for on the beach, in narrow back alleys, or down the grocery isle!

Supergirl: It's in your polybag.

Spiderman: Which one?

Supergirl: #30305

Batman: Spidey, you can never beat me!

These are just some figs I don't give enough attention to, even though I really like them.

Shazam- This is not my design.I saw this on @TheMooseFigs page and I loved it, it works really good. he has a chima polybag torso and legs, with zodd hair and BvS superman face.

anarky- I like this figure a lot too. he has a cmf red hood, some type of mummy head, ninjago torso, and the legs fit well with the head but idk where they're from.

Batman- based on his appearance from arkham knight. he has Batman v.2 cowl and lbm head, 2015 torso with arms and legs from the small BvS set.

I saw the polybag and the purist side of my brain said that ninja robes are a pretty good substitute for a dragon symbol, so I went for it.

Also, over 500 followers. That’s like, half a thousand. Woahhhh.

I also changed my name, you may have noticed. It’s not a great name, and new suggestions would be appreciated, but it’s a work in progress. I hope none of you can see my real name anymore, if you can, tell me.

Olaf is skateboarding again.

The blue helmet and the green skateboard are from the playground polybag 30588

My entry for the Polybag Competition at Brickset.com.

This polybag features a brick built giraffe.

• 64 parts

Update: This is a remake of my old giraffe. This time I tried to give the giraffe a spot pattern. Unfortunately this drove up the piece count more than I expected.

Getting sloppy with posting these builds to coincide with the release of the articles but hey, better late than never!

A while ago newelementary sent me some Xtra polybags to see what I could make with the parts included. When emptying one of the botanicals packs, I spotted two parts that were miraculously connected together which led to this windmill build.

Read more about that one in a million find and the other builds I made on the NE website:

Since Lego some time ago released the "30303-1: The Joker Bumper Car" polybag, I thought I'd upload an image of the bumper cars I used in "The Chase" set I did some time ago.

I originally planned to use the light bluish gray/blue version, but I didn't have the 4083 piece in blue.

7423: Mountain Sleigh

I know I said I wouldn't be revamping any of the polybag/mini sets. But mountain Sleigh has a certain charm to it that encouraged me to redesign it.

I looked a lot at Aerosan vehicles (essentially sleighs powered by a prop engine) and gave the sleigh a longer profile to it. With a snug cockpit and a little cargo space at the front.

I always think the Kilroy-centric vehicles have quite a wacky and whimsical quality to it. Much like the Doctor himself.

I used the legs from the Electro polybag figure to enhance this new Batman minifigure. Custom vambraces complete this take on the Dark Knight.

I was in TRU to pick-up a stroller for my cousin and grabbed two polybag sets (30070)

This is the result of them combined, using ALL the pieces...

Happy Halloween!

A remake of the Ghost Polybag. Built back in September, but I decided to save it for today!

I have been working on these guys for some time and finally decided to open up one of my sealed Electro polybags to complete Manhattan

Left to Right

Ozymandias: I considered giving him Riddler's head but decided against it

Fig Formula- Creator/City hair, Legolas head, Chima armor, Cpaper cape, Killer Moth torso reversed

Comedian: On my next Brickforge order, I might get a black neck piece to replace the current silver one

Fig Formula- TLBM Bruce Wayne hair, Jack Sparrow head, Brickforge pauldrons and neck piece, Bucky torso, CMF 16 spy legs

Dr. Manhattan: He had Ultimate Spiderman's torso until last week when I gave him the reversed Easter Bunny Batman torso

Fig Formula- TAS Electro head, Reversed TLBM Easter Bunny Batman torso

Rorschach: Pretty much Adam's with the exception of a Brickwarriors fedora

Fig Formula- Brickwarriors fedora, Reversed Ventress head, White bandanna, CMF 3 Pilot torso, TLBM Joker legs

Silk Specter: Not too many good leg options, so I had to go with plain black

Fig Formula- Nexo Knights hair, Black Widow head, Reversed Sinestro torso

NiteOwl: Thanks Adam for pointing that out...he was next to my hand while taking the original picture XD

Fig Formula- Catman cowl, Batman head, Reversed Radagast torso, TLBM belt

Tell me your thoughts!

Qualified for the free polybag and modified it to fit a minifig (without the legs though). Really like how it looks and will be putting it with my current Guardians display (shown above). Will probably incorporate it into my Abilisk MOC as well.

Simple but it works. Lmk what you guys think. :)

Inspired by the New Elementary Lantern contest, this is actually an entry for the brickset polybag competition! (More detailed NewE version coming soon) Since I included a minifigure, the build outside of this kid comes in at 29 pieces.

I had the afternoon to myself today and I had every intention of taking a wonderful, creative photo but I'm just so tired today that nothing came to mind. Oh well - some days are like that.

*Update... I just realized that I posed this Emmet in the same way that he's shown on the polybag... that was an accident. Now I'm wishing I had come up with a more unique pose for him but I was tired :-)

LEGO sets I didn’t know I made.

A couple of days ago I was looking thru my old stickers and when I stumbled upon some Tiny Turbos sheets, I started to swivel in nostalgia. I checked via Bricklink which sets the stickers belong to, and in set 8186 from 2009 I found a car I knew.

I built a red and white 1950s car for Creator when I started in Billund in 2006, they needed a cheap thing to be put in a polybag, I thought I had just the thing, but they never used it and I forgot about it. Today I went to Erik Ravn, who back then was heavily involved in Racers, and asked him about it, and he was like “yea, that’s yours, we just changed the color”…

My dramatic remake of the Exo-Force polybag 5966 Hikaru's Training Glider

Characters from the Old Man Logan storyline

Captain America: Couldn't really think of a better head/hair to use for him.

Wulf Yularen hair, Elrond head, Captain America torso/legs

Logan: Had this idea for a while, just could never really fit him in anywhere

Owen Larrs hair, PotC Gibbs head, Indiana Jones torso, dark blue legs

Future Hulk: Not much to say here

Hulk polybag head/torso/arms, CMF zombie pirate beard, gold hands, black legs

Purist Marvel Superheroes

Malcolm's orange polybag caught the light at our art group yesterday!

I read Secret Empire: Prelude and came across one of the most beautiful two page spreads that I had ever seen (from Captain America: Sam Wilson #7).

These character shots of the three men who have taken up the mantle of Captain America - Sam Wilson, Steve Rogers, and James Buchanan Barnes - were inspired by the feelings that rose up in me after reading #7 and #8 in their entirety. Marvel's previous mishaps once convinced me that the franchise was no longer worth following, but these two issues renewed my belief that Marvel still has respect for its classic characters, even though they might not be as prominent as they were before.

I really like how Bucky Barnes looks with the Nightwing head - overall, it's a really versatile piece. I was able to find an extra one on Bricklink for only 5 bucks while looking for additional parts to include in an unrelated order. Me wanting to show off how nice the head looks was one of the reasons why I didn't put him in his Captain America outfit, with the main reason being I wanted to portray them as they appeared in the Pleasant Hill/Kobik event.

_________________________________

Fig formulas:

Sam Wilson: CACW Falcon hair and head, Hulk Lab Smash Falcon wings, S7 Daredevil CMF torso, Captain America's shield, Spider-Man dual molded legs

Steve Rogers: Count Dooku hair, Mirkwood Elf Chief head, Classic Captain America torso with erased Syndrome CMF arms, LBM Catman CMF utility belt, Spider-Man dual molded legs

Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier promotional polybag base fig, Nightwing polybag head, M16A3 with underbarrel M320 grenade launcher, combat knife

So popped into my local Toys R Us, not really expecting any deals (especially not on lego) but more to witness the final days of an institution. Lego was 15% off, which is probably more than you'd pay on amazon anyway. Only vaguely interesting thing was the polybag bins, which for some reason were stuffed full of this Frodo one from a few years back.

Loving this MetalBeard polybag. Bring on the rest of the LEGO Movie 2 sets!

Hey LEGO fans it's Alex here, today it's Infearno's 8x8 vignette with a giant explosion and fire

He is prepared to cause massive explosions, burn the entire universe!

With his hoverboard, he is an unstoppable machine!

But he could be easily distracted, with a gas truck for example.

His priorities are destruction, not anything else😈

One of my top three Batman books of all time, this is. I always thought it would make a great atmospheric horror-kind of movie, or a really interesting stage-play. Anyways, seemed about time to do a real set of figs from it.

Batman: Painted Bruce Wayne head, CMF Vampire cape, painted LBM Batman torso.

Joker: Heath Ledger hair, LBM head, black torso/legs.

Two-Face: Painted head, Indiana Jones torso.

Clayface: LoTR head, Hobbit torso, PoTC Legs.

Croc is Croc

Doctor Destiny: Taskmaster head, Ninjago skeleton torso.

Maxie Zeus: Polybag Electro head on set Electro torso/legs with white hair and beard.

Mad Hatter: LBM hat, Captain Stacy head, Alfred collar, Red Hood torso.

Scarecrow: CMF head on Asylum Scarecrow.

Black Mask: Painted 2007 Skeleton head, Rebel Trooper torso.

I thought about doing Professor Milo and attempting the Tweedles from their one-panel appearance but ended up deciding against it.

Let me know whatcha all think!
