Point Reyes Boat at Inverness California. Im not sure of the story behind this boat. It has been sitting there ever since I can remember. It is worth the stop for you and your camera if you are ever in the area.

Tigné Point

Tigné Point is a peninsula in Sliema, Malta. The area was originally occupied by several fortifications and a British barracks complex, which were left derelict for many years, until the area was redeveloped in the early 21st century. The area now contains many modern buildings and is popular among both locals and tourists.

The peninsula was originally known as Punta di Santa Maria, and its extremity is also known as Dragut Point

The Point Arena Light Station was activated in 1870, and again in 1908 following its destruction in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. The light station is located about 130 miles north of San Francisco in the town of Point Arena, Mendocino County, California. Point Arena is a narrow peninsula that juts out about a half-mile into the Pacific creating a natural hazard to navigation.

Point Piedras Blancas. This is the view north from the Elephant Seal Beaches. Great places near San Simeon.

Point de vue depuis la tour d’observation Saint-Antoine au coeur de l’ermitage Saint-Antoine.

The previous image was created from a single frame, this one was from a five frame bracket and combined in Photomatix.

25-35mph 12+ winds. Everything was frozen or snow-crystalized. Truly beautiful.

The soft shell crab sandwich with fries. Quite reasonable for $14 which is less than you would pay at Sea Salt Eatery. The batter is extremely light--very fresh taste.

About Point Roberts:

Point Roberts, Washington is a mix of down home, small town charm and International consciousness. Only 20 minutes from Vancouver International airport and not much longer from downtown Vancouver, BC. Many full-time residents are consultants, inventors, scientists, writers, artists and virtual business owners who enjoy the natural beauty, peace and relaxed pace in between global travels.

A geopolitical oddity, Point Roberts is a part of the United States that is not physically connected to it, making it a pene-exclave of the U.S. It is located on the southernmost tip of the Tsawwassen Peninsula, south of Delta, British Columbia, Canada, and can be reached by land from the rest of the United States only by traveling through Canada. It can be reached directly from the rest of Washington and the U.S. by crossing Boundary Bay by sea or air.

Fresh air, miles of trails through ancient forests, miles of natural beaches, ocean kayaking, sailing, biking, hiking, photography and sighting the thriving eagle community and visits from J-Pod Orca whales can be enjoyed by everyone.

Organic gardening is a big deal at the Point Roberts Garden Club which has an annual tour that showcases a breathtaking array of gardens. Their site has "must see" pictures of previous tours and funds raised each year go towards community beautification projects.

Point Reyes California

From its thunderous ocean breakers crashing against rocky headlands and expansive sand beaches through its open grasslands to its brushy hillsides and forested ridges, visitors can discover over 1000 species of plants and animals. Home to several cultures over thousands of years, Point Reyes preserves a tapestry of stories and interactions of people. Point Reyes awaits your exploration.

On and extremely foggy day I headed out to the Lighthouse, but it was no where to be seen through the thick fog. I caught a coastal deer and a quail in the fog. I always wanted to shoot the old shipwrecked Point Reyes boat. A black crow gave a fly by and made an interesting aspect with a black and white. Hope you enjoy.

Built in 1913, its Fourth Order Fresnel lens, and its modern replacement, have aided mariners sailing in and out of the Puget Sound ever since.

Dead Horse Point State Park is a state park of Utah in the United States, featuring a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park is so named because of stories of ancient hunters, resting along the cliff tops while knapping chert in preparation for the next hunt, and cowboys of the late 1800’s, chasing wild mustangs onto Dead Horse Point, using the narrow neck to block off the natural corral
