Image taken from inside a Pod on the London Eye.
I had heard that security was very strict with photography.
I rang the Coca-cola London Eye press office (which is 0870 220 2777) and said I was a keen photographer and could I take my dslr on the Wheel.
The lovely lady said that’s fine but could not have or use any long lens (zoom or super zoom lens) or tripods.
I took a Canon 70D and a Sigma 10-20mm lens. On the day, Security did look at the camera and asked to look into my bag which everything was fine.

Seed pods from wildflowers in the San Francisco Bay Area hills.
This is a very subtle photograph, with a small range of tones and nothing hat is quite pure white or even close to black. The light in the early evening here was quite soft, and I almost decided not to try to photograph this subject — the colors were so subtle, the light was low, and I was working handheld. But there I was, there the seed pods were, so I decided to give it a try.
The pods belong to some very tall wild grasses that grow along a trail that I frequently hike. Perhaps only weeks ago this would have been a very green subject, but here in California we move pretty quickly from the green of April to the brown, tan, and golds of the warmer portion of the year.

Another experiment with Mecabricks' rendering service. I used a night sky HDR lighting, as this seemed to be the most similar to the sort of background that I had in mind. Edited in Adobe PhotoShop Elements 6.0 that I bought years ago.

Info: A group of dolphins is called a pod. A pod usually is formed of around 12 dolphins, and it is the usual social group of dolphins. > www.dolphins-world.com/what-is-a-group-of-dolphins-called/
When a recipe calls for a vanilla pod, don't just throw it away after you scrape the caviar. Instead, fill a clean jar with white sugar and insert the scraped pods. A few days later, you'll have a jarful of vanilla-scented sugar. You can use it in your recipes or simply sweeten your coffee or tea with it.

But I've made them 16x8 so they tie in with my Pod system, I like the way they can all stack neatly together

I have an earlier shot of these from further away - came back a couple of weeks later and decided to risk climbing down the slope off the track for a closer shot.
Whilst Catherine was swimming I amused myslef with my camera's macro function. This seed pod made an interesting subject.

THERE WAS ONE ODD POD (THE RED ONE) SO I WAITED FOR IT TO COME BACK ROUND AGAIN & CAUGHT IT JUST IN TIME.
A pod of orca including a large male, 3 females, and a juvenile. Quite the fantastic bonus to see during a whale-watching trip out of Kaikōura! Fewer than 200 orca live around New Zealand's coast, making seeing them a real treat.
Asclepias syriaca - As October ends, milkweed pods finish drying out and split open, releasing flat, brown seeds carried aloft by a white, silky fuzz known as milkweed floss.
The seeds, each with long, white flossy hairs, occur in large pods. This was growing in our backyard in Carmel, New York.
