Strobist Sundays -- book
I began this assignment thinking I was going to shoot some tight detail shot of a cool, old book. I've got some that are 80 and 100 years old. But then I saw this old 1971 PMS paper fan book on the shelf. Oh, yes! Bet no one else will shoot something like THIS!
Lighting info: super simple -- one 430EXII in a small softbox mostly over the book, but slightly back and to the right. The softbox was about 18 inches away. I had a foamcore bounce card on the shadow side, slightly behind. I wanted a wide DOF with just about everything in focus, so I needed some shadows to help define dimension, but I also wanted fairly flat light overall.
I used my 10-22mm at the wide end to help with lots of DOF, but mostly to give some WA distortion and tweak the proportions to add interest. Of, course, what's ironic is that that lens is so good, WA distortion is not readily apparent here.

Saw this on a Kelisa at The Curve's parking lot the other day with Leyla - yes guys, of course its a girl's car

I always thought I did not have much problems with my period. But since I quitted taking my birth control pills (not to have babies right away, but just because it did not feel right anymore) I'm one crying bundle of emotions when I have my period. I cry when people just tease me or when I see a dying person on tv. Even when it is a film.
And chocolate does NOT help! Well, maybe a little.... :-)
