After taking the shot in the first comment box below, I casually said, "Those would be kind o'cool for a photography opportunity-slash-experiment." Well, wouldn't you know the Amazon driver shows up a couple of days later. Fascinating how that kind of thing happens, really.
While driving to a birdwatching spot, I saw about two dozen cows and baby cows in front of this farm. We can't park aside of this type of road, so I parked a little further. When I returned the cows were gone. But the rural scene was so beautiful, I adjusted my camera and here it is (hand held): Autumn Lights. En direction d'un site ornithologique, j'ai vu une douzaine de veaux et vaches devant cette ferme. Interdiction de s'arrêter sur le côté d'une telle route, j'ai dû le faire plus loin. À mon retour, elles étaient disparues. Magnifique ferme aux lumières d'automne j'ajuste mon appareil photo, la voici à main levée: Lumières d'automne (Roxton Pond, Québec)
Le sentier tortueux bordé de framboisiers avec de temps en temps quelques laitues de plumier rescapées de la canicule avec leurs jolies fleurs aux couleurs empruntées au bleu du ciel
De ça et là, des sorbiers chargés de baies rouges orangées ajoutent eux aussi un peu de couleur au paysage qui devient de plus en plus minéral
Je continue la montée les yeux remplis de la majestueuse beauté ...

Vue de la vallée de Thingvellir ( Islande ) . Thingvellir est située dans le Sud-ouest de l’Islande , à environ 50 km au Nord - Est de Reykjavik . La principale caractéristique du site est qu’il est parcouru par de nombreuses failles saillantes , comme de larges cicatrices dans le paysage ! Il s’agit donc d’une zone de rift , où on trouve Almannagjá , une énorme faille de 7,7 km de long et 64 m au point le plus large qui forme un véritable canyon sur le site . Chaque année les plaques tectoniques Nord - Américaine et Eurasiatique divergent et se séparent de 2 à 3 cm .

Forecasts got it all wrong again and Scotland did not live up to expectations for my week on the UHD. This location at Symington was definitely on my hit list but I hadn't realised that the train runs half an hour earlier on a Monday plus it was ten minutes early when taken, so the sun angle was not optimal. Typically, the train passed an hour later the following day, in the dull!
Looking great in its GBRf livery, 92043 ex'Debussy' and now named 'Andy Withers 50 Year Service’ passes at 05.28, with the 1S26 23.30 Euston to Glasgow Central. With still early morning air, this train could be heard for many miles before making an appearance. 24/6/2024
