adorned with beads, feathers, lace and all the trims to make it so very SPECIAL.
Done in a mauve pink, and vintage lace trims

Teddy found these small ornamental pagodas while wandering the grounds of a temple. The thought definitely crossed his mind that the white one was just about the right size for him.

HIked 8+ miles today, including 10 caches with an Oz theme. One of the final caches, a large one entitled "The Emerald City" contains a plush bear wizard, a pair of ruby colored shoes, and a "wish book". We dropped off the Emerald City ducky we made (farthest Right). WE also dropped off the other 4 Oz duckies that wouldn't fit in the smaller Oz themed caches.
Wish we had done more caching today, but not sure our legs & feet could have handled that.

The Boyds Collection, Ltd. is a leading American designer, importer, and distributor of handcrafted collectibles. While Boyds is perhaps best known for its lines of plush bears and resin figurines, the company also offers such gift items as glass ornaments and doll accessories.
Boyds Collection, Ltd. originated in 1979 when Blooming-dale managers Gary (G.M.) and Justina (Tina) Lowenthal left their jobs and moved to Boyds, Maryland, to open a small antique shop out of their “semi-restored” Victorian home.
By 1982, the Lowenthals began to wholesale some of their own reproductions, including their very successful duck decoys.
In 1984, the Lowenthals produced their first resin sculptures of minutely detailed miniature houses. These “Gnomes Homes” were a combination of American architecture and Gary Lowenthal’s imagination. Around the same time, the Lowenthals’ created their first plush teddy bear, which they named Matthew after their newborn son.
In 1987, the Boyds company was relocated from Maryland to McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, near Gettysburg. The young company also expanded its product line to include hares, moose, and cats in addition to bears.
In 1992, the immensely popular TJ’s Best Dressed line made its debut. The line featured fully jointed bears, cats, moose, and other animals dressed in handmade stylish clothing, including homespun rompers and hats trimmed with silk flowers.
In the fall of 1997, Boyds expanded the Dollstone Collection and introduced its first two porcelain dolls.
While Boyds plush animals and resin figurines comprised 97 percent of its sales in 1998, the company licensed its images for other products as well, such as clothing, home textiles, stationery, and rubber stamps.

My husband bought these plush bears yrs. ago for Valentine's Day. It was one of our early Valentine's when Hallmark was selling these. They're so cute. They have magnets in their faces so they "kiss".
I had really wanted to do something w/my Pullips for Valentine's Day, but I just didn't have the time. But maybe I'll do something cutesy for White Day next month. ;D

They contain almost 2 skeins of Angel Hair Sensation Yarn which is strong, durable and amazingly soft. The non-allergenic Polyester fiberfill is the ultra plush variety which maximizes the softness and resiliency of each creation.
These bears are made to commemorate Spirit, the former puppy mill momma who never lost hope of being rescued and finding her forever family.
