Looking across Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) towards the Jet d'Eau. Five hundred litres of water per second are jetted to an altitude of 140 metres. The water leaves the 10 centimetres nozzle at a speed of 200 kilometres per hour.
we visited the national gallery of victoria and spent a happy half day cheeking out the art...this well dressed fellow followed us around and spent an awful long time mooning over this painting...from the front he had a designer beard, skivvy, ponky jeans and sophisticated sandals...but from the rear he just looked a little fanny...

Working hard on his soldering. I waited patiently to get this shot, I had spotted him earlier in the day came back when it was starting to get dark. I sat down in the middle of the street must have looked like a fool. Every time I took a shot someone walked in the way. The plumber was so intent on his work he never looked up.

Whitechapel Bell Foundry, Plumbers Row, London, England, UK.
The foundry closed in May 2017, after nearly 450 years of bell making and 250 years at this site.

We stumbled upon a sad scene at Plumbers Hollow. A couple of days prior, CP Gray was cut over and the PRR intermediates east of the control point were removed. The bridge here at Plumbers Hollow (MP 221) was cut up and thrown to the side of the ROW along with the others between here and CP Tunnel. Plumbers Hollow was the last to be removed completely though which gave us some time to look at the ruins up close. At one time these signals would have made this boring power look a bit better but in this snippet of time, it just made for a sad scene. But, modernization is critical for the railroads to continue to be competitive. It just means we'll have to adapt as photographers and find new ways to make photos look good without these historic relics in them.
