Not the normal class 60 on the Robeston Sdgs to Westerleigh Puma Dbc , but 66133 .running past Plumbers Brook at Lydney.
We have a kitchen tap that is dripping slowly so we are waiting for a plumber to fix it, who is being slow in his arrival. Meanwhile I am becoming even more demented than my normal state.
But hopefully this will do for the "slowly" theme for Definitely Dreaming this week!
The water feature at the Museum of the American Indian has been flowing great lately. I know they worked on this fountain recently like they routinely have to do on the numerous fountains and water features in DC (of which there are many). As of this morning, 3 fountains that I visited around the National Mall were not running. Some water features seem permanently derelict, most notably the enormous Columbus fountain outside Union Station, dry for a decade and futilely awaiting a $10 million overhaul. That one was built in 1912 with the waterworks buried within the sculpture; getting to the pipes will take not just plumbers but art conservators.
Single exposure RAW. I did some light painting of the foreground in this image. I had a headlamp with me in my bag and covered the 3 lamp lenses with a white microfiber lens cloth. It provided very soft illumination and seemed to highlight the flowing water with just the right amount of light. Processed in Photoshop and finished with NIK plugins. Thanks for looking!
Second in my new series of 16 CMF vignettes is the series 9 plumber. And the poor guy has been called upon to fix a clogged up toilet...
Because we all love to build toilets out of Lego, right? I thought about having some creature coming out of the toilet, but ended up settling for a more calm version of just being filled with water.
Sorry …before you ask, I can not give the location of where thisphoto of the Hazel Dormouse was taken. This specimen was in a state of torpor in a dormouse box, and was found during a routine inspection as part of an ongoing monitoring program.
This could have so many titles honestly.
Here's some old-school-ish figs from The Super Mario Bros Movie, an absolutely underrated gem that everyone should watch at least once.
I know that sounds like sarcasm, but legit, I love this movie and everything in it. Drunk Bob Hoskins? Fantastic animatronics? Absurdist humor? a complex, immersive world? Dennis Hopper as Donald Trump? This movie has all that and more.
The figs are pretty self-explanatory. I know Luigi doesn't have a mustache in the movie, but these two heads were too good to pass up.
Anyways, that's all for now.
