Peaky Blinders, have a very big fan club here in Birmingham and are well known too. And it was nice again to see them join in St Patrick's Parade in Digbeth.
To become a Peaky Blinder, one must wear a Peaky Cap, and have a stern liked face, as this cool dude does!
Again I used the KVIS Sketch Plugins for Photoshop here, to bring out the rough and etchings details to this character in monochrome.
I am now becoming a Picasso type photographer, with these AKVIS Sketch Plugins for Photoshop!

Just playing around with a little studio photography as the months start turning colder, and lockdown starts to get tighter again. Figured I'd take a shot of this wine glass w/ a bit of color refraction, and practice some of my flash photography (which admittedly is in desperate need of work).

Pictured here is a view of Sunburst Falls, a small but beautiful waterfall found in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina... The falls are located near Asheville, and can be accessed from a scenic woodland drive.
As you probably noticed, the flow of water was extremely strong at the time of this shot. Tropical storm Michael had just moved through the area, after being downgraded from a powerful hurricane that devastated parts of Florida. The storm dropped almost 4 inches of rain and caused flash flooding in many parts of North Carolina.

Nine portrait shots panorama processed with Darktable and Hugin. Each picture was firstly processed in Darktable applying plugins like White Balance, Denoise modules, and RGBFilmic with "Linear Rec2020 RGB" profile. The panorama was made with Hugin. After, final improvements were applied to the panorama (Local contrast, Tone Equalizer, and Velvia).
Finally, an Orton effect was applied avoiding blurring the ice structures and horizon mountains.
First post for 2010, I am trying to experiment on the effects of plugins for photographs. This is my way of saying Hi to all my Flickr friends.

The 'sweet pepper', also called 'bell pepper' because of its shape, is a cultivar group of the species 'Capsicum annuum'. It is botanically a fruit but is generally considered in culinary contexts to be a vegetable. Sweet peppers can be found in a rainbow of colors including green, red, orange and more rarely, white, rainbow (between stages of ripening) and purple depending on when they are harvested and the specific cultivar. As a bell pepper ages its flavor becomes sweeter and milder. They are generally available all year round but are more plentiful and less expensive during the summer months.
This photograph was taken at the outdoor market held each Saturday morning in front of the famed 'Ferry Building' at the foot of Market Street in downtown San Francisco, California. The bright colors and increased texture that you see in this photograph were the result of post processing using a plugin to Photoshop CS5 called "Pixel Bender" by Adobe Labs.

This is locally know as the Pirates tower. I ran into a family that live near by and they recited a story about how the home owner that lived in the home at the the top of the tower used to dress up like a pirate and walk the streets and pubs telling people that he has hidden coins in the boards of the spiral staircase that leads to the top, for the kids in the area to find if they explored it well enough. The kids in the area spent a lot of time in that tower. :)
Located at Victoria Beach cove in Laguna beach. It is 3 exposures combined with the "Merge to 32 bit" plugin by HDRSoft.

Bien que rien ne le laisse vraiment supposer, cette photo a été prise à l’entrée de Bruxelles dans le parc de l’abbaye du Rouge-Cloître. Un endroit magnifique et tranquille aux portes de la ville !
Although nothing does not really suggest it, this photo was taken at the entrance to Brussels in the abbey called « Rouge-Cloître ». A beautiful and very quiet place at the gates of the town !

This picture was shot handheld with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. I increased the blue and overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Shadow/Highlights and Curve adjustments were also used, to bring out the detail and increase the overall contrast.
The moon was visible but very distant. A separate shot of the moon was blended into the sky at 85%. The overall photo was processed through Topaz Adjust plugin to enhance the grains in the petrified trees. The petrified trees were then cloned into the HDR version leaving the sky and the snow-covered mountain intact. Click here for another photo using the same technique and moon: www.flickr.com/photos/35614822@N08/3474365728/

Here on the South Plains of West Texas there are many of these old abandoned farm houses in varying states of decay. They happen to be one of my favorite subjects to shoot under the night sky and I've spent a lot of time tracking them down. Unfortunately, as flat as it is around here, lights on the horizon can been seen forever away. In most cases I prefer a cloudless night and a sky full of stars, but in this case, I think the wispy clouds add to the eeriness of the scene.
Shot with my Fuji X-H1 and Samyang 12mm f/2.0. (5) 15 second shots + (2) dark frames @ f/2.0, ISO 3200, 3800K WB. One LED panel used for LLL. Stacked in Sequator with final edits in Photoshop using a few Topaz plugins. (Shot April 9, 2019; finally catching up with editing.)
