I couldn't believe the results of this PhotoShop plugin. The subject appears to be carved from ice. You can include the original color of the subject, but I like the B&W effect. I'm not an expert in using this plugin, but the results are pretty amazing -- if you like this kind of thing... (it is not a free plugin). They are the ones that make the Fractalius plugin I used a while back.
I read about this plugin on Boingboing, I really like what it does... I've only got the demo version at the moment but think I might have to buy myslef the full version for my birthday... www.redfieldplugins.com/filterFractalius.htm
