A bit of snow today does not delay spring ball. The snow never stayed, so onwards to baseball.

So amazing and lively graffiti of Anshuman Maharaj playing Sarod (painted by Jonny Popovich)...

Thanks to everyone for visits , comments , awards and invitations, I appreciate your feedback very much

Just off the Prescott-Russell Trail are many open fields perfect for playing in the new-fallen snow.

(Dad sometimes crops our photos, but rarely into semi-panoramas. We thought this one from this morning would be fun to try.)

Up on The Knott, we'd just had our lunch sheltering behind the wall.. I got up to wander around taking photo's, my grandson took to the phone, as people do ;-)

While I've visited hundreds of cemeteries, I've only ever been to one mausoleum. So I don't know if most of them have entire sink rooms for flowers, but this one has several.

Maybe it's different in the summer or during an entombment, but I've never seen fresh flowers.

But then, this place is pretty old. It's not abandoned or anything, and still every much in use. But its age is showing.

Here, the morning winter sun shines through a window in one of the flower rooms.

Neska and Noa playing and the river. It was a radiant day

Cat playing with string and looking like he's flying a kite!

We were playing in the sunshine in his room today....the light was perfect so I took advantage..LOL! He was rolling around and kept playing in the blankets, it was pretty cute!

Along with our busy holiday week-end, we also attended a friend's wedding on Saturday. My husband was the wedding photographer. I managed to snap a few along the way. This image is from our gift that we gave the couple. The wrapping paper I used had images of Victorian little girls playing dress-up. This is of the wedding image. I cut her out and glued it onto the wedding card envelope. I then added glitter spray to add some sparkle. I think she is so cute!

I have to wait until the crack of stupid to get in a game before the hot sun comes out. Anyone, game?

Delighted to say that this image won the first position in this year's HIPA awards in Dubai, in 'Life in Colour' category. Details - www.hipa.ae/en/life-in-colour-2014-2015/winners

A monk’s maroon robe is often deemed as a symbol of asceticism and a sober life devoid of zest. But these young monks in richly coloured robes manifest the true essence of practice, about living in the moment with fullest exuberance and oblivious to everything else, much unlike the greyness of the walls behind them.

This photograph was made in Ki Gompa, a monastery of Tibetan Buddhist traditions in the Indian Himalayas, where I was staying and documenting the way of life of the monks. Every evening, young monks were allowed a time off and gathered at an open ground to play. One such evening, these boys began giggling and chasing each other, some of them climbing over a platform about 5 feet high, when this image was made.

I suggest that the crime was committed in the Dining room by Col. Mustard with the candlestick.

Frog playing death, after being discovered by one of our cats. He survived using this tactic ;-))

"Apparent death, colloquially known as playing dead, feigning death, or playing possum, is a behavior in which animals take on the appearance of being dead. This form of animal deception is an adaptive behavior also known as tonic immobility or thanatosis. Apparent death can be used as a defense mechanism or as a form of aggressive mimicry, and occurs in a wide range of animals."- Wiki

A fine evening spent photographing sand dunes at Death Valley National Park. It's incredible how light plays with numerous crests and ridges leading to some glorious compositions.

Fox kits taken in Waterton Lakes National Park, south of Calgary. Their mother got hit by a car leaving 6 very young kits that people didn't think would survive without mother's milk. But dad did an amazing job of feeding them and 4 survived. They look very healthy and are already very big. Nature seems to do very well without any help from people.

Many thanks for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.
