My version of the Lonsdale Dress! Made from a sweet polka dot linen from my stash that I've been dying to use. Hop on over to my blog post to read more about how I did it.

Sorry...quick pics on a cloudy morning. Had to get this in the post!

Me, Moccasiini aka Marianne and Siama had a playdate on Friday and I must say it's been a while since my dolly corner has had this sort of hustle and bustle of tiny life. Marianne brought around 20 visitors and Siama had around 10, so the population of my small dolly town was nearing hundred. We had so much fun squeezing into that tiny space crammed with dolls and photographing to our hearts content.

Karen and I had a playdate two weekends ago and she taught me how to do marbelizing with liquid starch. OMG! So wonderful! Five hours slipped by and next thing we knew there were wet papers all over her house!

I've already used a few bits in collages and printed out some of my scans for other projects.

I omitted the ruffles. Love the fit of the dress except it's too short. Margot must take after her big sister- long legged and tall! I'd prefer a couple more inches on this. I finished this the night before her party. Wish I'd have pressed the hem. I did hand stitch it but it looks like it needs a good pressing.

This is the dress I whipped together for Audrey Cate's "playdate" with Santa. She is going to wear it to see him tomorrow night.

Size 2T, with the length of a 3. Fabric is Cotton + Steel clothesline floral. My little girl picked the heart buttons herself :) I really love the sleeves and the hemline on this pattern.

With Everett's classmate Chloe and Violet's best friend Lily.

This time I took photos! If you'd like to see how to neatly finish the yoke on the Playdate Dress, please read on: queenoftheflies.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-finish-playda...

From left to right, Rose, Symantha, Natalye and Ivy. (Rose is clearly missing her Y). The extra two are school friends that came over to play after school.

Everything was from my stash! This is a 3T, I shortened the sleeves and the result looks like something little Shirley Temple might have worn. My daughter refuses to wear it. :( Blogged: crissybell.blogspot.com/2014/03/playdate-dress.html

My camera was acting up, but here's Henry with "the cutest girl in class" on their playdate Tuesday. Neighbor's trampoline, chocolate chip cookies, Mousetrap, and lots of gazing lovingly into each other's eyes.

Madelief spent the morning at a classmate's house, and I went to the park with Karel.

It was her first playdate so we had to see what happened, but it all went very well.

This is one of my favorite O+S dress patterns.

I always struggle a bit with the front yoke but that's just about it. Everything else goes pretty smooth and the dress is always a pleasure to sew.

fabrics: paisley viyella and white pique from a local shop and brown linen for the piping (bought on a trip to Marseille, France).
