The past week has been crazy...I haven't had much time to take pictures, let alone post them and comment. But, things are looking better, and I'm off for the next two weeks.
Brady celebrated his mom's new-found freedom with a playdate with Fontana yesterday. He was his usual suave self, of course!
Thank you to my sister Liz who sent me all the lol dolls and pets.
Ken is on a disney aladdin doll body. Too bad his feet are so big and wide that they dont fit in ken shoes.
I actually think this pattern works rather nicely with bigger prints.
Don't ask about the photo preps - her idea :)
Floral twill (very soft) and blue viyella for the yoke.
Playdate dress by Oliver and S, size 6.
We love to spend time playing with various art supplies. Daniel worked on his Boxster model while I played with paint. I made some handmade tape for my Junque Journal.
We had a busy, fun weekend. We bought plants and planted them. We also did other work around the house. The we played.
I have quite a cold & my voice is gone ... maybe that helped make the weekend so fun.
Me, Moccasiini aka Marianne and Siama had a playdate on Friday and I must say it's been a while since my dolly corner has had this sort of hustle and bustle of tiny life. Marianne brought around 20 visitors and Siama had around 10, so the population of my small dolly town was nearing hundred. We had so much fun squeezing into that tiny space crammed with dolls and photographing to our hearts content.
Playdate dress in grey linen. Just a silly face...she's not crying!

One of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had as it came right after the Munchkin got their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. PlayDate PDX was kind enough to host a vaccine clinic which also included a twenty dollar food and beverage credit (one dollar pours of wine!) and free play for the kids.
Just happy that the Munchkin is fully vaccinated at this point.

Taken off the shores of Maui, Hawaii.
Still getting the hang of underwater photography. This was the only decent shot I got while I was in Maui...
My version of the Lonsdale Dress! Made from a sweet polka dot linen from my stash that I've been dying to use. Hop on over to my blog post to read more about how I did it.
I made this yesterday, size 7. I took 6 inches off of the length. The ruffles are 1 inch single layer strips cut on the bias. I took this idea from this oliverands.com/blog/2009/09/playdate-for-play.html blog post from 2009. This is fabric I bought as a remnant for about $.50. It is a light weight chambray. My daughter will wear it in the winter with boots.
