My equipment setup for the Total Solar Eclipse of 8/17/2017. A Tamron 500mm f8 mirror telephoto fitted with a Baader solar filter, also fitted with a 1.4 Tamron teleconverter and 90 degree Tamron telescope adaptor, and a cheap cell-phone to eyepiece holder holding a DooGee 6 MAX 3D cell phone, all mounted to an equatorial mount atop a sturdy contractor's tripod.

The effective focal length was 750mm, f11.
