This is still in service with Cheshire and is used by the Cadets. They came down to event for the weekend.
Based at Launceston Fire Station in Cornwall is this Mercedes Unimog U5000 with plastic body provided by Plastisol / TVAC . The fire engineering been completed by JDC. It runs as a fully equipped Rescue Pump & the vehicles 4x4 capability provides a high degree of off road mobility. Thanks to Watch Manager Gary Chapman.

I have no idea why this London appliance was so far from home passing through Buckingham. The capital is unusual in still having a Fire Brigade rather than a Fire & Rescue Service, and what are known elsewhere as water tenders are classed as dual-purpose ladders. The Mercedes Atego is the brigade standard, usually with Plastisol GRP bodywork made in the Netherlands, fitted out in this case by Papworth SV in Cambridgeshire.

Bletchley fire station is home to this imposing appliance, one of two on the run in Bucks. It is not only fully equipped as a water tender but has the benefit of a 2000-gallon tank allowing it to also perform the role of a water carrier. Most Volvo FL6 appliances use the 14-tonne chassis but these heavyweight beasts are on the 26-tonne version. The bodywork is a fibreglass moulding by TVAC and it is manned by the station's retained crew.

This appears never to have seen active service in London. The only one of this batch fitted with a light bar rather than beacons, it was used from new as a training vehicle and demonstrator for AssetCo, the lease company who supply London and other brigades.

I'm really happy with how they turned out. I think they look better than any other shirts I've had produced. Even though there is a lot of coverage the inks are water-based so you can breath in the shirt. Unlike the Plastisol inks that feel like a sheet of plastic on your chest.
The shirts are currently being carried at the TOYROOM in Sacramento, CA. Only available in the store and not online.
