OU03 VOM has been on the run from Buckingham fire station for more than a decade now so it is very familiar to me. Initially the first away (day-crewed) appliance, it was transferred to the retained crew in 2009 and is still with them at the time of writing in December 2017. It is however due for replacement in 2018/19 when Broughton are expected to receive a new Volvo and their 11-reg Scania will move to Buckingham, allowing this to be disposed of.

One of 4 Combined Aerial Rescue Pumps (CARP) used across the region is YK57AOL which, at the time of the shot, was being used by Doncaster Fire Station.

The CARP allows the brigade to replace 1 traditional fire engine and an aerial ladder platform which see very limited use.
