OU03 VOM has been on the run from Buckingham fire station for more than a decade now so it is very familiar to me. Initially the first away (day-crewed) appliance, it was transferred to the retained crew in 2009 and is still with them at the time of writing in December 2017. It is however due for replacement in 2018/19 when Broughton are expected to receive a new Volvo and their 11-reg Scania will move to Buckingham, allowing this to be disposed of.

- Ultra soft "Discharge" screen print pulled by hand.
Discharge is a printing process where instead of putting uncomfortable ink onto the shirt we remove the dye from the shirt leaving the natural cotton color. It can never fade or crack because it is literally an anti-print that cannot be felt at all.
For the ladies that means the design wont buckle when stretched out over your chest like traditional plastisol shirts do.
Even better than the Bedfordshire appliance is this one, rather improbably built on the chassis of an EFE AEC Mammoth Major. Y83 MWL is one of the two famous 'supertankers' operated by Buckinghamshire, with extra-large tanks to combine the roles of pump and water carrier; this one is based at Bletchley and I photographed it at the open day there a few years ago.
