ODC-Plastic

This is one of the props that I sometimes use. I think the flowers painted on the beads are so pretty.

For "Macro Mondays" - "Plastic"

This is the end of a piece of plastic pipe that used to be attached to the tap on our water butt when we moved in.

It must have been outside exposed to the elements for quite some time as it is now quite brittle and I should have thrown it away long ago but it fits this weeks theme and I never thought it would be of any use, even for a photo.

Update on my plastic. Recieved Dunnies for my B-day a few weeks ago and 8 munny zipper pulls/"things that hurt" zipper pulls for Valentines. Twas a good haul.

Wires coated in plastic insulation routed to connectors on a plastic "66" punch-down block. 66 blocks are the workhorse cross-connection points used throughout the telephone system.

It's hard to imagine modern electronics and communication without plastics.

One of my Scout woggles, made out of Hama beads held together with elastic thread.

I took this photo yesterday after a rain storm..the water on the daisies made them look very plastic. The only processing here is a play with levels, hues and a crop.

Plastic Flowers.

I wondered if these were woven plastic or perhaps a natural cotton or similar material. A naked flame melted them.

Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!

Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

theme: PLASTIC

si si ça existe....

Plastic wrap, sprayed with water, with my favorite piece of trash in the background. If you zoom in, you can see some prismatic colors.

I don't know what's more surreal. A artifical lake which doesn't fit into the streets of Zürich or the posing girls.

Boat made of Amsterdam canal plastic

Want to make the Amsterdam canals plastic free with your team, division or company? Plastic Whale organises Company Fishing for all kinds of organisations. And everything is possible: fishing for a couple of hours, or a day.

I have just started experimenting with street photograghy. We were in Glasgow on a warm summer's day when the rain started to pour.

Magneto in his Plastic Prison. Inspired by X-Men: 2

I love this creation…but now I have to say “But Julius—you say that about all your creations!?,” and yes, I do say that often, but really, in all actuality—I do love them all. If I didn’t at the bare minimum like the creations I make, there’s no way in hell you’d be seeing it right now. Anyways, I do truly hope everyone likes (Dare I say love?) the creations I make, since I know they bring so much joy to myself, I can only imagine what they bring to other people. Enjoy

Unrelated note—is this an ironic title? Or one that needs to be said at all? Yes it’s plastic—but so am I?

3 synthetic (plastic) bristles from a new paintbrush - because they were a bit kinky, I have trimmed them off. They are about 1.25" long.

2015 CHALLENGE WEEK 37: MACRO - PLASTIC

Decided to use PLASTIC MONEY as my subject for this weeks challenge when I found an expired black credit card...

I wanted to achieve an "endless effect" where you don't see any borders of the card. So I used flood lights outside my light-tend to avoid reflections and underexposed heavily until the background was as black as the card.

f16 for a maximum of DOF with the 105mm macro lense on my D800 did the rest...

For security reasons I deleted some of the digits and card logos using the corrections/repair stamps in lightroom.
