AGM Interiors Ltd were instructed by Canata Seggie architects of Greenock on behalf of St Columbas Kilmacolm school to carry out the internal refurbishment over the summer 2011 break. The works involved stripping out of existing finishes, installation of new structural lintels, new plastering, new flooring, new bespoke carpentery for doors, skirtings, cloakroom facilties. AGM excelled on delivering the high quality of joinery finsih required by the school within the tight timescale.

The plaster we used was an earthen plaster made up using 4 parts sand, 1 part clay and 1/2 part chopped straw.

This day was all about doing the finish plaster on the section above the carport and patio roof – and prepping an adjoining bumpy wall a bit for its own finish coat (next plastering project). The painted glass window had been a late addition to the build, going into its space after the brown coat, so we also needed to plaster around the edge of that window.
