The Wood Carving oil'ed ready for moulding

On a wall in a doorway, High Street, Shrewsbury.

I made a mould from clay and acetate, I imprinted string into the clay which got the effect on the left. I ripped the string through the clay to achieve this torn effect on the right. I poured plaster in to create these pieces. I placed the mould in sand to get the texture at the top.

To emulate. (old ledger boards were rotted, so plaster had to be removed.)

Fooling around with a plaster monk kitsch figure and a neon light cord...

I don't know what posessed these people to do this to the inside of the house. A fake stucco tudor look. The ceilings in the entry are 17' and the walls are all coming out to be replaced with something solid and smooth.

Really surprised that this came out; the 'seed' bits incredibly delicate (plaster not the best thing to cast it with; not strong enough)

California artist James Turrell has created a "Skyspace" for the museum’s Barbro Osher Sculpture Garden. Three Gems, Turrell’s first “Skyspace” in the form of a stupa or dome, is built into a hill within the garden and features a view of the sky altered by lighting effects that will change with light and weather conditions outside.
