The lower part of the digester has a water thight plaster, the upper part must be technically gas thight. This is a achieved only by mineral components.
The green paint on the railing stands out next to the pink Plaster-Weld on the wall. This material is used to help the new mud adhere to old plaster.
My hands are raw from the combination of cold plaster and repeated washing, but the second layer is up, and is mostly to the right depth :-)

Bit more classy than a Homebase foam one.
Bugger to put up though, 26 seperate pieces.
Fitted by Dion Watkins, 4 of them.
Expensive and non-reuseable. The moulds used to develop the project would require an alternative material, even if the form of the lamp would need to be changed, for future explorations of this project's end-point.
